My tour guide Ligui did not speak a lot of English but we used google translate to communicate and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed seeing all the temples and getting to walk to each location and having Ligui point out interesting facts about the landmarks that you come across during the walking tour. Would do this again in heartbeat.

I was guided by a very kind guide. I would have been confused by the etiquette of visiting the shrine alone, but they taught me carefully. I'm not good at English, and the guide couldn't speak Japanese, so we communicated using Google Translate. Despite that, we had an enjoyable half-day. Since I participated alone and it was a bit expensive, I rated the cost-performance as 2 stars, but everything else was very satisfying. I think it would be very cost-effective if multiple people participated.

Our guide, Ms. Kuo, was incredibly dedicated, leading us through four temples dedicated to the Matchmaker God. She meticulously explained the history and stories behind each temple, how to worship the Matchmaker God, and how to request and use the red thread and缘粉 (yuan fen, a powder for good relationships), tailoring her explanations to each specific temple. She was very friendly, introduced every attraction along the way, and promptly answered everyone's questions. This trip was not just about visiting the Matchmaker God, but also a journey of cultural enlightenment. Highly recommended.
