Passeio de Cruzeiro Reef Magic Pontoon saindo de Cairns

This was my first time snorkelling and the staff made be feel at ease by reassuring me and constantly checking up on me while not giving me any pressure. I had a great time in the water! I also loved how much there was to do on this Pontoin, even if you did not go snorkelling! 5 hours truly flies by. Part of the reason I chose Reef Magic was because I heard they conducted reef conservation work and I was happy to actually see the Marine Biologists dive for broken coral for reef recovery. WARNING: bring seasickness medicine even if you don't normally get sea sick. The ride to the Outer Reef was rough. The lunch buffet looked delicious but I was too nauseous to fully enjoy it.

The overall process was well-arranged. Friends who are prone to seasickness must take medication 30 minutes before the boat departs. It was indeed very choppy, and many people vomited, but the crew was very experienced and took care of everyone individually, which is commendable! There were many small fish in the snorkeling area, and the water quality was quite clear, making it easy to see the coral reefs. If you have friends who are not good swimmers, I highly recommend Reef Magic, as you can take a glass-bottom boat, a sightseeing boat, or visit the underwater observatory, allowing you to see corals and fish without getting into the water! We booked a helicopter, but it was canceled due to weather, which was quite disappointing. Furthermore, it wasn't clearly stated under what circumstances cancellations would occur, making the cancellation decision feel hasty. Klook assisted in processing the refund for the price difference.

A day on the Great Barrier Reef is a must for any visit to FNQ and this experience is one that will stick in our memories forever. Everything was amazing from the staff to the food to the quality of the wetsuits and facilities on the pontoon. I was also extremely impressed with the cultural presentation at the end of the day that referenced local aboriginal people and the significance the reef has to them. The experience allows for around 5hrs on the pontoon that we found to be sufficient. I would also recommend this tour to hesitant swimmers as there are floatation vests and foam noodles available for those not confident in the open water. Can't wait to do it again!

Amazing and eye-opening experience even if you do not wish to participate in diving or snorkeling. We had great visibility and managed to see lots of fish and corals while on the semi-submersible and the glass-bottom boat.

Reef Majic is a very professional company. My parents had a medical history, so they specially put a unique marker on their snorkeling gear, which made me feel very reassured because the lifeguards were constantly watching them. Additionally, the facilities on the boat were excellent, providing all the necessary equipment for snorkeling. You can go with peace of mind, and the food was delicious too! I saw many fish swimming around me!

Great experience. The helicopter ride is really worth the money. The lunch is okay. The time on the platform is sufficient.

Absolument brillante journée sur le récif. L'excursion s'est déroulée si bien, on voit qu'ils maîtrisent parfaitement leur sujet. Le personnel est très amical et compétent. Le déjeuner était délicieux. Le bateau à fond de verre et le semi-submersible étaient des inclusions fantastiques - je recommande vivement de faire les deux. Nous avons vu des tortues et des requins et avons appris énormément sur le système récifal grâce aux biologistes marins. La plongée avec tuba était fantastique même si l'eau était un peu agitée et qu'il a plu par moments. Je recommanderais vivement cette excursion Reef Magic à tout le monde. Juste un conseil car il y avait pas mal de personnes souffrant du mal de mer à bord du bateau - apportez des comprimés contre le mal de mer, ils font des merveilles. Nous avons également vu des baleines sur le chemin du retour, ce qui était un régal, et nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié les présentations et les discussions culturelles à bord.

Wonderful day with a very professional and friendly team. The reef was beautiful and we saw so many cool fish and coral. Saw some turtles and sharks on the semi submersible and glass bottom boat.
