Had a fantastic day on the Mekong delta with BoHan, she was very engaging kept us well informed through in a lot of humour. BoHans knowledge of the islands was great and we left very informed. I highly recommend this tour, especially with BoHan.
This was a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh and explore. Fantastic value for money (NZD) where you get feed fresh fruit, fresh local produce and experience a small part of how the people there live. It was easy to book online, great communication from the tour operators via WhatsAp who spoke good English and was quite knowledgeable about the areas. Binh was our guide for the day, e mihi ana Binh! Would totally recommend.
Our guide, Viet, was a jolly person who spoke very well and took care of us. He captured photographs for us and made the long journey very enjoyable and relaxing. He always explained the reasons behind every event and spoke about the culture of the people living on the island. He detailed why five different types of fruits are placed on a plate, how they mix crops, and how this has happened, resulting in increased yield. All of these points were very nicely and beautifully explained by Viet. That is why a person like him could survive in such a competitive and repetitive industry, doing things for more than 22 years. The patience and adaptability skills he possesses are unbelievable. The food was excellent and it was very nicely served to us. Finally, we visited the temple or pagoda of the Laughing Buddha. It was really a wonderful experience in spite of the heat. Strongly recommended for people who want privacy and pleasure. Thank you Viet.
If you want a hassle-free adventure, book this all-inclusive package tour. Nick from Vietnam Adventure Tours is very entertaining, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the trip. He is an amazing tour guide, and be ready to hear him sing in different languages. The food was great, as were all the people we interacted with. Saigon's culture is rich, and I will definitely come back and explore more of Vietnam's astonishing cities/provinces.
I had so much fun in this tour! Our guide, Sunny, was very helpful and friendly. She made sure we were well taken care of and we also learned a lot from her about the Mekong Delta and its people. We also did not go hungry throughout the trip as there were plenty of snacks at each stop and lunch was scrumptious! The Vinh Trang pagoda and the boat ride through the lagoon were big highlights of the trip. We were also given coconuts on the ferry back, and bananas and cold tissue were provided in the car to refresh ourselves. 10/10 would recommend!
This tour was our favorite experience in Vietnam. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment, despite my initial panic when I encountered the bees. We were reassured that these bees don't sting, though they do buzz around and might even crawl into the honey tea they prepare for you. Nevertheless, the tea was delicious! The tour cost included most activities, but there were optional purchases available, such as items from the temple, a refreshing coconut drink, honey, and beverages with the meal. Additionally, they were very accommodating of my friend's vegetarian diet.
Our guide Phuc Nguyen was very patient with our group. He is also very knowledgeable about the tour and we appreciate everything he imparted to us. We enjoyed the tour from start to the end. A must-book when in Vietnam!
The tour was very exciting, especially the boat trip on the Mekong River. My kids were so happy as it was their first time. Our tour guide, Mr. Phi, was very nice and explained everything. This tour allowed my kids to learn about kampong life and simple living.
Overall, I'm satisfied with having experienced things that are generally difficult to encounter. Our hotel was located in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, so we were picked up. There were five of us, and two teams of two participated in the tour. The vehicle was a VIP bus that could accommodate about 12 people, and the driver's skills were excellent. We drove for about 1 hour and 40-50 minutes to arrive in My Tho. Before reaching the Mekong Delta, we first spent about 30 minutes exploring the Vinh Trang Pagoda, then moved to the pier and boarded a boat. Each tour group was assigned one boat. At the first stop, we enjoyed fruits and a performance, then walked to a bee farm. We proceeded with the itinerary, moving between islands by boat several times. The last part of the itinerary was a simple meal at a restaurant before returning. The meal was supposed to finish at 1:40 PM, but due to heavy rain, we departed about 30 minutes later, after the rain subsided, and returned to the pier where we had started. The driver waiting at the pier gave us water, drinks, and fruit. Around 2:40 PM, the car departed for Ho Chi Minh City, and the return journey took about 2 hours due to traffic. While it wasn't an incredibly grand experience, it was an opportunity to glimpse local life.
