This was our first time joining a Klook tour, and we wanted to experience the unique floating market. Our group had 5 boats. Our family of 6 adults and 1 child was in the first boat, but we ended up being the last to reach the destination. This meant we had to rush our lunch and didn't have time to look around or enjoy ourselves leisurely. I'm not sure if it was because the boatman went to the wrong place or if we visited too many shopping stops. Firstly, the boatman took us to the wrong boarding point. We only realized it was wrong after disembarking, so we had to get back on the boat and go to another point to disembark again. Getting on and off the boat was quite difficult, especially with children and elderly people. Secondly, I don't know how many shopping stops other groups made, but we stopped at least 5-6 times. Thirdly, some fellow travelers were a bit selfish and reclined their seats, preventing us from sitting together as a family. It would be best if seating arrangements were made in advance for each group.
We had an amazing day visiting the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and Maeklong Railway Market. Our tour guide, Apple, truly made the experience unforgettable. She was friendly, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable, teaching us about Thai culture, useful phrases, how to barter respectfully, and recommending delicious local food to try. The stop at the coconut farm was surprisingly interesting, where we learnt about coconut farming and enjoyed browsing the fresh drinks and handmade coconut products. The floating market was vibrant and fun, although many stalls sold similar items. We loved exploring the canals and soaking up the atmosphere. The Maeklong Railway Market was a real highlight—we were lucky enough to see the train pass through twice! Watching the vendors quickly move their stalls was fascinating. The souvenirs here were also some of the cheapest we found in Thailand. Overall, this was a fantastic, well-organised tour we highly recommend it!
Our guide, Nok, was a great guide! She was super helpful and friendly, and she’s very passionate in helping us in Chinese, taking us to secret spots for foodies, and telling us interesting facts about Thai culture and that of our destinations. The coconut sugar factory was super nice, with all natural coconut products for us to taste, and an actual Thai house for us to visit. The floating market is also quite nice but I’d prefer traditional boats instead of diesel boats because of the smell. The railway market though was a bit underwhelming, and you actually do not get to ride the train itself which would have been an even better experience imo. Overall, with the affordable price I do recommend this trip to anyone interested in less-touristy travel in central Thailand.
The tour guide was cheerful, really enjoyed being with us, and genuinely gave us tips before getting off the bus so we wouldn't get scammed. The place is beautiful, but it can make you dizzy once you ride the boat.
Ms. Nok was an excellent guide, and she helped us understand the culture and places very well. The most fabulous part was her helping everyone learn basic, important Thai words and a cute game before ending with an elephant 🐘 souvenir. I highly recommend this tour; you will love it!
Our guide made the whole experience truly memorable and very easy-going. Lek was a wonderful guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and always made us feel comfortable throughout the activity. She went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment. We would absolutely love to have her again when we come back to Thailand. Highly recommended!
An unique experience travelling back into time. Visiting two old markets with respective features with experienced guides and a coach transfer. A coconut sugar factory visit is included. Please note that there are no ATM facilities or EFTPOS facilities except the railway market out of the three, so strongly recommend to bring cash.
Apple, Pee Lee, and Pee Pee are very nice. Apple is very accommodating and very nice. She kept us entertained during the trip and she speaks English well. Thank you very much, Apple, for the great experience.
Great tour for a family of 5 adults. Included a surprise visit to Chang Paul Camp for an elephant ride (own cost B700 per person), photo shoot with alligator and a cute monkey. The floating mkt looks different to what I imagine, dirty water, string smell of diesel from our boat, very busy boat traffic, shops selling similar stuff. Buying from a boat vendor was interesting. Had lunch at the railway market. Recommend to bring cash for payment, as all shops and restaurants charge 4-5% for credit card payments. Tour guide Cherry and driver were excellent and made the whole tour a comfortable experience.
