Avaliações
The tour guide is what makes this. We were hosted by Sila and Bam, who were caring and humorous, making this a very enjoyable experience. Note that December/January is peak season and it was very packed despite only being for Hong Island. The food was average, but you go for the experiences and access to unique locations. I recommend bringing seasickness pills.
Hong Island is amazing and has a super beautiful beach, don't forget to bring your snorkeling mask when you go down to the beach. The stairs to the viewpoint are tiring but the view is worth it.
You will visit four locations by speedboat. After being picked up from your hotel, you'll be transferred to the pier. Upon arrival, you'll check yourself in for the tour you're joining. You'll fill in your hotel name, room number, and your name, then wait to board. After about a 30-minute wait, you'll board when your name is called. The first stop is a lagoon with a narrow entrance and a wide interior; you'll enjoy the scenery without disembarking from the boat. The second and third stops are beaches with sandy shores, where you'll stay for 40-50 minutes. There are also restrooms and shops available. The final stop is a beach where you'll stay for about two hours, including a lunch break. While you can sunbathe and swim at all beaches, it's best not to have high expectations for snorkeling. The visibility is only 3-4 meters, and the water is quite murky. Additionally, all landing spots are crowded with many boats and tourists. It's recommended to participate with the mindset of island hopping and enjoy the scenery.
The pickup went smoothly. We were then driven with other participants to a large square near Ao Nang and assigned to groups there. All providers are represented there, so it's very crowded. Afterwards, we got on the boat, where we sat closely but not uncomfortably. Everything is a bit old and loud in the Thai style. Hong Bay itself was very beautiful, but overcrowded with tourists (like us). Snorkeling is forbidden at low tide. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of jellyfish in the water, which somewhat spoiled the snorkeling experience. The whole trip took significantly longer than stated; we didn't get back until 4:30 PM.
I snorkeled in several places. Each snorkeling spot had beautiful natural scenery, and I could see various marine creatures. Unlike other tours, this isn't about diving in the middle of the sea; instead, you get off on an island and can freely snorkel in both deep and shallow areas from the beach. The price is also reasonable, and the guide is friendly. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to snorkel or see the island.
Taking a speedboat to the Three Islands of Honda is definitely the way to go. The journey takes about 30 minutes, giving you an uncrowded island experience. I will definitely come again; it's truly worth revisiting. Our tour leader, Maria, highly recommends it.
We visited three islands in total, with Hong Island being the last. It was gorgeous, and we saw some lovely fish while snorkeling. You can't snorkel on the other two islands, and there isn't much to do there. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of jellyfish and plastic bottles. Lunch was lukewarm, but there was plenty of water and orange juice available.
They give you a good amount of food, and it's quite delicious. They also give you fruit during lunch and continuously after your schedule is finished, when you're on the boat. They even give you ice cream until you get off the last boat, so it's really great value for money. The guide was incredibly kind and took really good photos. Honestly, the scenery is so beautiful that any photo would turn out well, but they put a lot of effort into taking many great pictures. Oh, the guide explained that the Hongseom tour is a relaxing tour~ We took those signature photos on the boat, and then we had free time at three different islands~ You can snorkel, trek, or just lie on the beach—it's up to you~~ There's no snorkeling in the middle of the sea!
A beautiful trip to Hong Island with clear waters. The boat ride isn't far from the shore. There's a hotel shuttle service, a clean tourist service center, and good boats. The guide is attentive. The food is simple but sufficient. The trip stops at several points, focusing on photo opportunities.
