Passeio de Volta à Ilha Grande de Oahu

Although it was a bit of a shame that it rained, we still managed to visit all the attractions. Byodo-in Temple was just okay; those who frequently visit Japan might find it a bit boring. However, the island tour focused on natural attractions and the mountain itinerary in Waimea, with ample time for each stop, including the pineapple fields. A minor hiccup was that they forgot to provide our lunch, but customer service resolved the issue very well, so it didn't affect our experience.

The tour guide Wes was great. This is a whole island tour so you will literally go around the whole island. However because there are lots of spots that need to be reached you have very little time at each spot. For example at the waterfall they should give you more time to be able to get to the waterfall (by foot or trolley) and be able to swim and take photos etc. There are spots that could use less time like second to last stop were it is mostly just shops and food. A stop at a north shore beach to swim would have been great. Overall it is a nice experience to see all the different spots and see what you would want to spend more time on during another visit. It’s also nice that you can take a nap in the bus with air conditioning and you don’t have to worry about driving.

The places visited were quite impressive. The scenery at Pali Point was so picturesque, however, Waimea Valley was a bit disappointing because the waterfall was dry.

Although the weather wasn't great, Moe, our tour guide and driver, thoughtfully introduced the attractions and allowed us enough time to explore beyond the beaches and see different natural landscapes of Hawaii during our short one-day trip. I would love to come back for a more in-depth tour in the future!

The instructions to find the bus are very clear. The bus itself has a very clear name on the side, so you won't miss it. The tour is very fun, and our guide (Mike) gave clear explanations not only about the places we visited but also about the local perspective of the areas we passed through.

Our driver (Garfield) was very friendly and approachable. He knows everything and anything about Hawaii. We really loved this tour.

It's a great trip for someone visiting Hawaii for the first time. The guide seems to know everything!

Good English skills are essential because the tour guide speaks English both on the bus and at attractions (mostly on the bus). If your English isn't good, you really won't understand what the guide is saying on the bus!
