Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Tainan and, by extension, Taiwan. He had so many stories to share about the different periods of Taiwan's history. The one area of improvement I'd recommend is perhaps adding more locations to allow the group to move around more, as many of us were losing our attention given how in-depth the stories were.

ChinChin was very well prepared, cheerful and helpful. She even opened up her own residence for a break and offered water refreshments. This tour is useful for people who want to know the history of Anping from the Portuguese, Dutch, Qing, and Japanese occupation eras.

Highly recommended! This walking tour was very informative and engaging. Emily answered our questions amazingly and she told a very good story about Tainan's history. Will definitely do this again with a different group next time. Kudos to Like It Formosa for facilitating something like this and sharing Tainan's culture well.

We're in Tainan visiting my nephew who's performing here, not for tourism originally. However, we decided to make the most of our time and found a walking tour on Klook. We did both the downtown tour in the morning and the old town tour in the afternoon. It was quite exhausting but definitely worth it. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, I'd recommend booking each tour on separate days. But for our family, a full day of walking was no problem at all. Overall, the experience was highly recommended. We learned a lot not only about Tainan but also about Taiwan in general. The meeting places were easy to find. Sushin and Emily were fantastic guides; they didn't just give us the tour but also recommended the best places to eat and other sights to see beyond the itinerary. Overall, it was a great experience!

Fantastische Tour. Sehr hilfreiche Einführung in Taiwans farbenreiche Geschichte. Haltestellen an vielen Orten, die ich alleine nicht gefunden hätte oder deren Bedeutung ich nicht erkannt hätte.

A big shout out for our tour guide Amily. She absolutely loved her hometown, with her knowledge and passion for Tainan city, as well as her storytelling skill. We all enjoyed her tour although it was under the hot sun, but she tried her best to keep all of us under the shade. Highly recommended for those who seek to deepen their understanding about Tainan.

Estamos en Tainan visitando a mi sobrino que está actuando aquí, no por turismo originalmente. Sin embargo, decidimos aprovechar al máximo nuestro tiempo y encontramos un recorrido a pie en Klook. Hicimos tanto el recorrido por el centro de la ciudad por la mañana como el recorrido por el casco antiguo por la tarde. Fue bastante agotador, pero definitivamente valió la pena. Si prefiere un ritmo más relajado, le recomendaría reservar cada recorrido en días separados. Pero para nuestra familia, un día completo de caminata no fue ningún problema. En general, la experiencia fue muy recomendable. Aprendimos mucho no solo sobre Tainan, sino también sobre Taiwán en general. Los puntos de encuentro fueron fáciles de encontrar, aunque optamos por Uber 😅. Sushin y Emily fueron guías fantásticos; no solo nos dieron el recorrido, sino que también nos recomendaron los mejores lugares para comer y otros lugares de interés para ver más allá del itinerario. ¡En general, fue una gran experiencia!
