O Lobby no The Peninsula Bangkok

The Peninsula's services are always exceptional. We had the Festive Afternoon Tea set at the Lobby, which was very private with a spectacular view of the Chao Phraya River. The Afternoon Tea set tasted very good.

Service was excellent, the place is beautiful. Free flow of tea. I took a gluten-free set. Most of the finger food was great, but the scones were not baked completely and had a slightly underbaked middle. Other than that, it was a great experience with live piano music.

格式のあるホテルなので、とても楽しみにしていました。いくつかある紅茶メニューからひとつ選ぶのですが、2人でうかがったので違う紅茶を選び飲み比べをしようと伝えたら、出来ないとのこと。少し飲むとすぐに給仕してくださるのですが、なみなみに入れられ、温かい紅茶を飲みたいのに冷めたところに一杯入れられるのでずっと冷めた紅茶を飲むことに‥自分達のタイミングで温かい紅茶を飲みたかったです。後ろで待ち構えてられるのも落ち着かなかった。料理はどれも可愛いうえに美味しく、ひとつひとつが小さいのでぺろりかなと思いきや、結構お腹が一杯になりました。

The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the location is superb. It's great to treat yourself to an afternoon tea occasionally 👍🏻

J'ai adoré l'ambiance et le service, mais c'est tout. La nourriture était médiocre. Rien d'incroyable. Je ne reviendrais probablement pas. L'échange a été facile et fluide.

The scones were amazingly good. The assorted finger sandwiches were ordinary but the pastries were excellent!

The Peninsula Hotel Bangkok maintains high quality of food, provides good services and lets customers totally relax in the Lobby. Free refills of coffee & tea make us stay the whole afternoon happily with live piano music. The price is super good for value. Afternoon tea at the Lobby of Peninsula Hotel Bangkok is a must for every tourist.

On Monday, September 2, 2019, we had a reservation for afternoon tea at the Peninsula Hotel at 4 PM. Shortly after we sat down and the three-tiered dessert stand was brought out, we noticed a fly constantly circling the cakes. Despite our continuous attempts to shoo it away, the fly wouldn't leave and eventually landed on a cake. When we informed the waiter, the response was that they would immediately replace one plate for us (only the top one). After the top plate of cakes was replaced, it wasn't long before the fly returned, and this time it was even crawling all over the desserts. We had to complain again. The waiter said they would replace everything entirely, but this was already the second time. Who would want to dine while constantly shooing away flies? So, we told them we wanted to leave and not eat, and asked if we could get a refund. However, the waiter said that since we booked online, a refund was not possible. We were stunned to hear this; it's a very strange reason. The problem wasn't ours, and with such a lack of guarantee, who would dare to book online in the future? The waiter then told us that a refund was not possible, but we now had two options: either they would bring a third replacement, or we could choose to have the food packed for takeaway. At this renowned five-star hotel, there were flies, and they landed on the food twice. If it were a street stall, that would be one thing, but to have flies flying around indoors raises serious concerns about hygiene. No one can have an elegant 'happy time' under such circumstances, and to top it off, no refund was allowed. The way this five-star hotel handled its guests is truly unacceptable. We also want to ask KKday how they ensure consumer protection and handle refund mechanisms. This was a very bad experience, and it also made me realize that booking online offers no guarantee. If it weren't for writing this review, I wouldn't even be able to give one star. However, we still want to thank the waiters who served us. GOOND always had a friendly smile and a pleasant attitude, and we also thank JAH for bringing a candle to help us repel insects. The Peninsula Bangkok has hired two excellent employees.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und professionell. An dem Tag, an dem ich ins Restaurant ging, gab es eine Opernaufführung. Es war sehr, sehr gut und ich habe die Zeit dort genossen!
