Aventura de Mergulho em Gaiola com Tubarões na Costa Norte em Oahu

If you're not a licensed diver, this tour is for you. The staff are very friendly and explained very well the expectations of this tour. It is a once in a lifetime experience. We saw many sharks.

I had a great time as a boat rider! The captain and her assistant were accommodating while we all waited for those in the cage. I'll be back next time with family and friends and be in the cage. Hehe.

After checking in, we took a boat for about 25-30 minutes. The experience then proceeds by connecting a cage floating in the sea to the boat. We used snorkels provided by the company, and I regret not bringing an underwater camera ㅠㅠ. Those who plan to try this experience, please make sure to bring an underwater camera! Also, be sure to bring your own beach towel! It was truly fantastic. The clear sea, sharks approaching, and the endless Pacific Ocean... It was absolutely wonderful.

We had wanted to go shark caging for a very long time, and this trip did not disappoint. Crew was great, very informative and helpful. We saw humpback whales on the ways out and back, and even saw a large pod of spinner dolphins on the ride back. There were 15 or so Galapagos sharks that circled the cage as soon as we arrived at the dive site and made for an extremely enjoyable time. Our only caution is be prepared for rough seas and to get jerked back and forth by the swells even while in the water.

They say sharks gather because they think it's feeding time, mistaking the sound of the crab boat motor for food. The waves are strong, so motion sickness medicine is a must before departure. Even if it's embarrassing, put on a Kimi-te patch too... seriously! Also, if you apply for the $75 video, they treat you better, haha. I didn't, though ^^;; And I think it's really good to apply for an early time slot (that way the waves are calmer). I went at 8 AM, and on the way back... more than half of the foreigners were throwing up ^^ You really need to go prepared for motion sickness!! It was really amazing, strange, and fun to see the sharks in the deep blue sea! The price seems quite reasonable too!! If you have your own snorkel gear, bring it and use your own~ We had ours but didn't bring it, and I regretted not bringing it ㅜ

¡Lo pasamos genial! Hacía viento ese día y los tours después del nuestro fueron cancelados, así que definitivamente recomiendo reservar los horarios tempranos (nosotros reservamos a las 8 am). ¡Traigan Dramamine! Vimos muchos tiburones (además de otros peces) y tuvimos una buena cantidad de tiempo en la jaula (6 personas en la jaula). Organizamos el transporte a través de la compañía de tours de tiburones y la recogida/entrega fue fácil. Hay un baño público cerca (caseta marrón) que pueden usar para cambiarse después (aunque no hay puertas en los cubículos).

If you go to the North Shore, Haleiwa, this is an absolute must-do. Definitely book the earliest tour time slot as the ocean gets choppy in the afternoon. Allot at least 1.5 hours from Waikiki as the traffic towards the old town gets busy, especially in the winter months during surfing season. Aloha and enjoy!

They are very knowledgeable and straight forward! We really enjoyed our time here and would do it again! Will recommend it to anyone that are interested

It was an amazing experience to see the sharks swimming around you. Luckily, we saw a whale 3 times. Totally worth it!
