Just completed my session yesterday and I highly recommend the session to anyone - beginners or experienced sewists alike. Fabric is cut out for you and serged beforehand, very neat finishing. The top is really easy to sew up. Peiyun is really friendly and accommodating. Her place is very homely, sewing area not cluttered (unlike mine!) hence the entire process was very pleasant and therapeutic. Thank you Peiyun! :)

I recently attended a 4-hr Samfu sewing class with pre-cut materials, and it turned out to be such a wonderful experience. The session was not only interesting but also surprisingly therapeutic—it felt great to slow down, focus, and create something with my own hands. I went together with three of my friends who also enjoy sewing, and we all had an amazing time. The pre-cut materials made the process smooth and beginner-friendly, so we could fully enjoy the learning without feeling overwhelmed. The environment was cosy and the host is welcoming, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It was the perfect setting to relax, chat, and immerse ourselves in the craft. Overall, it was a delightful and fulfilling day. This class is highly recommended for anyone looking for a creative and calming activity.

I went with a friend and both of us really enjoyed Peiyun's workshop. She gives easy and clear instructions. Learnt afew tips from her: from hand sewing using slip stiches, using a special marker with disappearing ink to mark the lines for sewing, using a small pressing iron and even where to get the A0 paper patterns printed. My blouse ended up a tad bit larger cos I over estimated myself but it was a very comfortable fit. Can't wait to make another blouse with the paper patterns.

Enjoyed my experience. I haven't used a sewing machine in several decades, but Peiyun was very patient in giving tips on how to use them. She had to step in to sew some portions as well. She does a lot of the hard work like cutting the pattern and serging before hand, so I only had to learn about the pattern and how the various parts line up. And I got a great looking blouse out of it! Don't be afraid to consult with her about the size of the blouse before hand or else you will end up with something too large as the pattern is for a buffet-ready top. I followed the size chart closely and the fit is still pretty generous.

¡Lo pasamos genial! Fui con una amiga y mi madre, que no tenían experiencia en el uso de la máquina de coser. El patrón y la máquina se preparan antes de la clase. Peiyun fue extremadamente amable y paciente al explicar cómo usar la máquina y también nos ayudó a corregir nuestras piezas para asegurarnos de que todas salieran perfectas. Estuvo encantada de ofrecer otras opciones de tela si la selección compartida inicialmente no era de nuestro agrado; solo asegúrense de comunicarse antes de la clase y hacerle saber lo que podrían estar buscando. Tuvimos muchas conversaciones divertidas con ella mientras trabajábamos y sentimos que aprendimos mucho sobre lo que se necesita para que una prenda se sienta y se vea bien. Hay un perro para aquellos a quienes les pueda preocupar, pero no interfiere en absoluto con la clase y la mayor parte del tiempo simplemente anda por ahí. Es extremadamente amigable y dulce. ¡Recomendaría esta clase como una actividad grupal divertida tanto para amigos como para familiares! La experiencia previa siempre es buena, pero no necesaria.
