O que esperar
Aprenda e compreenda como o batik é feito e os processos por trás dele. O batik encerado à mão com um canting é conhecido como "Batik Tulis". Esta é a forma original, ou tradicional, de criar batik. A ferramenta usada para aplicar cera em linhas finas é chamada de "canting". Uma ferramenta de chanting/canting consiste em duas partes: o cabo, que é feito de bambu, e o bico frontal, que é feito de cobre.
A oficina começa com uma breve introdução à teoria do batik, abrangendo sua rica história e o simbolismo por trás dos motivos tradicionais. Nossos instrutores farão uma demonstração ao vivo do autêntico processo de desenho do batik usando cera derretida. Em seguida, os participantes criarão seus próprios designs de batik em padrões pré-selecionados sob supervisão guiada.

Getting hands-on with authentic tools, learning about Southeast Asian batik heritage, and walking away with a handmade piece from my first Batik experience made, it so rewarding and memorable. Left with great memories and a genuine appreciation for the craft!
A must try experience! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, giving us a brief but interesting introduction to the different batik styles and customs before explaining the methods to properly do the batik wax design. You will choose a stencil, draw out the design with the wax, then paint it to your liking! What a lovely and enriching experience. 10/10 recommend!
I had a wonderful experience with my child. Since I am not very confident speaking English, I really appreciated how patiently and slowly everything was explained to us. It was very helpful and made the experience much more enjoyable. We also learned a lot from all the explanations and information you kindly shared with us. I had such a wonderful time at this batik workshop! We learnt about the different batik patterns and their meanings, which made the experience so meaningful and enriching. What I loved most was that we didn’t just watch — we actually got to use the wax and paint our own batik piece, which was really fun and hands-on. It felt very authentic and engaging from start to finish. It was definitely a great use of the SG culture pass 👍🏼
