National Museum Half-Day Small Group Guided Tour

We have an informative 3-hour guided tour of the basement coverage of the historical Chinese exhibit, from the evolution of mankind to the Qing Dynasty of Chinese history, led by the experienced museum guide Zhao Qian Yun for a group of 7 people on Christmas Day. Three hours is a very short time to cover all the exhibits. There were also too many people at the museum that morning. I think it would be good to start the tour from the first dynasty era so that more can be covered for the later dynasties.

Our tour guide, Anna 王金伟, is very knowledgeable and provided a very detailed explanation of the artefacts and history behind them. She has made the tour interesting and we have enjoyed ourselves.

This Klook experience exceeded expectations. The China National Museum is a national treasure, but it was the guidance of Teacher Lü Hongjiang that transformed the visit into a meaningful journey through China's past. Despite the crowd and the distraction of visitors focused only on photography, his professionalism, storytelling, and cultural insight made the tour both educational and enjoyable.

The sharing was very detailed (from the Paleolithic Age to early dynasties), and therefore, only one floor was covered in the 3-hour tour. However, after the tour, you are free to stay and explore the rest of the floors on your own until the museum closes.

Three hours were spent just introducing one exhibition hall. The tour guide was very knowledgeable but failed to look after all group members (and we were only a small group of 5). Their management skills were very average. Some group members stuck to the guide like magnets the entire time, making it impossible for others to hear clearly or see the artifacts properly. Halfway through, I wanted to return the headset and leave on my own.
