Prática Matinal de Sumô em Tóquio: Observação e Interação Exclusiva

¡Uno de los puntos culminantes de nuestro viaje a Japón! Asistimos a la práctica matutina de sumo el 24 de mayo de 2026, el día de la final del Gran Torneo de Sumo de Tokio, y fue una experiencia inolvidable. Antes de esta visita, sabía muy poco sobre el sumo. Ver a los luchadores entrenar de cerca me dio una apreciación completamente nueva de la disciplina, dedicación, fuerza y trabajo duro detrás de este fascinante deporte. Lo que más me gustó fue la autenticidad. Esto no era una atracción turística escenificada, sino una oportunidad genuina para observar una práctica matutina real y comprender la vida diaria de los luchadores profesionales. Pudimos sentir la intensidad y el compromiso de los atletas. La interacción al final fue otro punto culminante. Los luchadores fueron acogedores y felices de responder incluso a nuestras preguntas más curiosas. Un agradecimiento especial a nuestros guías, Tai y Momo, quienes fueron amables, conocedores y profesionales en todo momento. We had a wonderful experience visiting Ikazuchi stable with our guide, Momo. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared a wealth of information about the traditions, training, and daily life of the wrestlers. Her kindness and professionalism made the tour both engaging and comfortable. It was also clear that she was well-respected by the stable master, okamisan (his wife), and the wrestlers themselves, which added a sense of warmth and authenticity to the visit. Momo's assistant was also very helpful and attentive, which made the experience even smoother and more enjoyable. It was also a very special place to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The wrestlers were incredible during the practice session, graciously took time for Q&A, and even surprised us by singing happy birthday to him. It’s an experience we will never forget! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to gain a deeper understanding of sumo culture.

What an amazing experience. This was so cool to learn and watch the wrestlers do a live practice. Every single person is beyond nice. You get an informational introduction at the park before going to the stable. Once at the stable you will get to experience a live practice session with a Q&A at the end...plus a photo! 1000% recommended

The whole experience was amazing. Ryoko and her colleague are really warm and helpful. The training itself is very interesting and fun to watch. The sumo wrestlers at the stable are not only really good to watch, but kind with us at the end of the practice at the Q&A and photos.

This was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. Watching the wrestlers train up close gave me a whole new appreciation for the dedication, discipline, and hard work required in sumo. The practice felt very authentic and respectful, and the exclusive interaction afterward made the experience even more memorable. Ryoko was an amazing guide. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome throughout the experience. Her explanations helped us better understand the traditions and culture of sumo, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Being able to see the wrestlers in such an intimate setting was something I could never experience back home. I enjoyed this experience so much that I plan to bring my family the next time I visit Japan. If you’re interested in Japanese culture or sumo wrestling, I highly recommend this tour. This was one of the highlights of my trip. Sumo is so cool, and it was an honor to spectate these athletes. I hope to return and see them in competition someday. Our guide was awesome too. Karin was informative and able to help us with Q&A after the practice. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Tokyo!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. I highly recommend visiting a sumo stable if you get the chance. We had an amazing tour guide, Ryoko, who was so friendly and knowledgeable. We had the option to have brunch together after the training session, and I highly recommend going. It is a small fee, but worth it.

Easily the highlight of our trip. It was such an experience to see the sumo wrestlers practice and the opportunity to learn about the sport was interesting and engaging as we were able to get to know about the sport and each individual sumo wrestler. Highly recommend to anyone considering this!!
