【Passeio aprofundado por Shiga】 Museu Miho ・ Antigo Instituto de Bambu ou Santuário Hieizan ・ Torii aquático do Santuário Shirahige no Lago Biwa (ida e volta de Osaka / Kyoto)

We received an email from our tour guide, Sun Jiaxue (Yuki), the day before the one-day tour, detailing the itinerary, important notes, meeting point, and contact information. Since there were about 20 people in our group, we took a large bus. At the beginning of the one-day tour and just before reaching our destinations, tour guide Yuki provided detailed explanations and important information. She also used Line to send reminders about the itinerary or pick-up locations. Itinerary Stop 1: Miho Museum - I.M. Pei's Utopia. Anyone studying architecture must experience the master's architectural design and its integration with the environment. Lunch is at your own expense; the rice balls and Miho tofu at the ticket center's restaurant are worth trying. (Photos 1-3) Itinerary Stop 2: Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine on Mount Hiei - The head shrine of over 3,800 Hie, Hiyoshi, and Sanno shrines in Japan, known for monkeys serving as messengers of the gods. (Photo 4) Itinerary Stop 3: Shirahige Shrine on Lake Biwa with its Water Torii - The legend of being closest to the gods. (Photos 5-6) Many thanks to our tour guide Yuki and the driver for their service on today's one-day tour, which made it a very rewarding experience for our family of four.

Our tour guide, Mia, was incredibly gentle and considerate this time. Her explanations in both Chinese and English were excellent, making her a five-star guide! The Miho Museum is a very worthwhile place to visit, and it was even more beautiful during cherry blossom season. We were also very lucky to encounter a festival when we visited Chikurin-in Temple, and the torii gate on Lake Biwa was absolutely stunning.

Many thanks to tour guide Xie Jiashu and the driver for their help throughout the journey. We had a meaningful and unforgettable day in Shiga Prefecture.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and appreciated the chance to witness the last opening day of the Miho Museum in 2025. Our tour guide - Naomi-san was incredibly friendly and attentive, making our experience even more special. The tour was well-organized, and the time management was exceptional. Highly recommended :)

There were 10 groups of guests, so a large bus was arranged. Tour guide Zhao was the only guide among the three tours I took in Japan who would proactively send WhatsApp messages about the pick-up time. Shiga is quite a distance, so those staying in Osaka should be prepared for a nearly 6-hour round trip.

Today's itinerary to the Miho Museum, Old Chikurin-in Temple, and Shirahige Shrine's water torii gate was excellent, offering a great experience without crowds, and allowing us to appreciate a different kind of beauty. Our guide, Casper, provided explanations at every attraction, which was fantastic. I believe a good guide truly makes a trip more exciting and memorable. Thumbs up for Casper! 👍

A perfect day trip to Shiga, sincerely thanks to our driver and guide, Zhang Yong. He accompanied us throughout the journey, exploring the beautiful lake and mountain scenery. Master Zhang is very experienced, meticulously planned our itinerary, avoiding crowds while including unique scenic spots. He is humble and friendly, meticulous and responsible in his work, and thoughtfully shared travel tips along the way. We had an immersive experience of the stunning beauty of Lake Biwa, and the entire trip was excellent. Highly recommended to friends who wish to visit!

Mr. Liao, the tour guide, was very dedicated in his explanations, but the vehicle used felt very old and dilapidated. The rearview mirror even fell off while driving, forcing the driver to stop on the highway shoulder to reattach it, which was terrifying. The Japanese driver also took a wrong turn, causing a delay in the itinerary. The Miho Museum exhibition was excellent, but two and a half hours felt insufficient. It's recommended to buy some rice balls or sandwiches in advance to eat in the car to save time. The driver was yelling throughout the journey, which felt very frightening. The other two stops on the itinerary, if not during cherry blossom season, did not feel worth visiting.

We were so lucky to have Naomi Mori as our tour guide on this trip! She's the best guide I've ever met – not only is she kind and attentive, but her explanations are lively and engaging. Her photography skills are also amazing; she took beautiful pictures of us every time. 😍 The entire trip was smooth and enjoyable, highly recommended! The maple leaves were incredibly beautiful! It was a wonderful trip.

The overall itinerary was well-arranged, with ample time given for each attraction. Our guide, Naomi Mori, was very friendly and proactively offered to take photos for me. Places like the Miho Museum and Kyu-Chikurin-in are quite out of the way, so joining a tour group made things much easier and more convenient.
