The experience is amazing. The place is amazing, has a really great energy. I was able to see and be part of the whole tea process. We get to know the village and do a little hike and see the plantations. It was an incredible morning and made my day. ahhh and the lunch was delicious
This was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. I’ve traveled to 30+ countries and have never seen such a warm and welcoming community. I started with a tea picking experience, then watched the process of burning tea, thereafter I went into the village for a self guided tour (with continued support from the organizers along my journey). On the way it felt like a fun scavenger hunt-where someone new was waiting for me at different points. I got served tea by the locals in the community who were expecting me, then at the Bunny hotel stop I was served coffee and listed to great old school music. I returned to the tea shop and was given a gift of black tea and such a warm welcome return. This was a 5 star luxury experience and I would pay triple to do it again! Thank you so much! Genuinely.
I really enjoyed this activity! Miss Wang was so nice and friendly. We spent 15 minutes picking tea leaves, then they taught me how to dry it! I didn't actually read the description, so I thought that was all, haha, but I had to do a countryside walk! It was super nice as I saw a mountain full of tea! The map could be improved though; I was lost and too tired to go back, but Miss Wang picked me up. After the last stop - the bunny hotel, go back to the second to last stop - the stall where you got your tea. Between the reservoir and the start of the stalls, there is a way down. Use that to go back to Miss Wang's place. This place is 1 hour away from the city, but the benefit is there are fewer tourists! I haven't seen any non-Chinese people there except me! I enjoyed the serenity. They also give a gift, which I appreciate very much, and a light lunch. The food could be improved as well. Please provide a little bit of protein with rice or opt for a snack with tea. I enjoyed the fried rice, but I usually eat rice with protein. Also, at the last stop, I was offered coffee. I was shy to ask if there was anything else on the menu, but after the tea and snack at the second stop, I think it's too much to be offered coffee at the third stop. Maybe a light lunch could be served there? Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this! Thank you, Miss Wang and friends, for a nice experience.
Short tea picking activity to experience how local doing it. Communication with the host was clear. Look out for weather during hot season
Miss Lilly was very helpful. She showed me all around the tea village, she helped me with some Chinese apps, we had great lunch and took many photos.
I regret booking this experience and not a better one for my short trip in Hangzhou. I chose the basic package, but the organization was messy. I filed a claim on Klook because the itinerary was different. You pick tea, hike, drink tea, which is cool, in a nice place, but then after drinking tea, you go for the last step, the rabbit hotel, which is in the middle of nowhere (taxi needed). This last step only consists of ordering an Americano or latte at the counter and leaving (you might not be thirsty + have to drink it on your way back, taxi). Penny was nice, and so was the guy who helped us pick tea, but the experience isn't worth it if you don't plan other tea plantation visits, I think. They are beautiful, there is a nice water spot to see, but in my opinion, it's not worth the aesthetic of other tea plantations in the region. I feel like we paid for a cheap experience ($10 each) to be a test subject to see if the itinerary was working (which it wasn't). Still, the people are nice; if you have time, do it.
It was okay. The person struggled to speak English, so it didn't go as smoothly as we had initially anticipated. I wouldn't say it is 'luxury'.
