“2049” is an art performance created by director Zhang Yimou, a work that combines light and shadow, technology, and traditional Chinese art. For me, the traditional art of ethnic minorities has always felt a bit rustic, even backward, and somewhat out of touch. This performance, however, integrates futuristic technology, seemingly re-presenting a new kind of artistry and imagination. It's definitely worth seeing. Sehr beeindruckende Großbild-Videoprojektion mit hoher Auflösung und der Einsatz von Technologien bei den Bühnenaufführungen. Die Integration der Videoprojektion in die Handlung einiger Bühnenaufführungen hätte enger miteinander verknüpft sein können – dennoch war die Show den Besuch wert.

It's a wonderful performance that combines technology and tradition! What I appreciated most were the ethnic song and dance, and the performance with the robot and the matchmaker! Additionally, giving out small lion toys to the audience created a lively and interactive atmosphere! It's definitely a show suitable for the whole family to enjoy!

This setup often leaves you with a poor viewing angle, which becomes frustrating when you step into the theater and notice a significant number of empty, better-positioned seats available. If you are planning to attend, it might be worth considering buying your ticket in person on-spot. While you will miss out on the online purchase discount, purchasing at the box office gives you the flexibility to choose a superior seat directly—a trade-off that can significantly improve your viewing experience for an otherwise mid-tier production.

An incredibly spectacular show! It was my first time seeing robots perform on stage. The entire performance had no dull moments; Zhang Yimou is truly amazing, perfectly showcasing the stage effects.
