One of the highlights of our cruise. If you are on a cruise yourself, "do not do it through the ship." Book the first sailing (10:00) and catch a local bus (30 minutes) or taxi (10 minutes). We had about 50-100 people on this sailing, and you were able to move around, pick a seat, take photos from different positions... Terrific. On our return, the queue for the ship with the organized tour was horrendous. We watched them keep loading people on and on. There must have been over 200-300 people. Whatever position they got on the ship, that was it. Packed in like sardines. It must have been horrendous.

The boat was very stable, with three decks in total. The bottom two decks were indoors, with sofa seating where you could enjoy the scenery through glass windows. The third deck was a planked area, and there was even an upper half-deck similar to an observation deck. The wind was so strong it felt like it was blowing my face off, making me feel silly, but the boat was as steady as Mount Tai, not swaying at all. The wind was so strong that when we disembarked, my face felt distorted, so remember to wear a mask. However, the scenery was worth it; truly, truly beautiful. Along the way, there were multilingual broadcasts introducing the Kujukushima (Ninety-Nine Islands), and the captain even demonstrated a 180-degree drift in a narrow bay, showcasing his excellent boat handling skills. The seawater was extremely clear, and we could see jellyfish. The entire trip was about 50 minutes. Coincidentally, there was a winter grilled oyster festival event, with 400 barbecue grills provided on the lawn for tourists to grill oysters on site. The oysters were very fresh, some even larger than a palm, and 1000 yen for 1kg was quite a good deal. There were also other seafood and snacks. It was a great experience to enjoy grilled oysters with the sea breeze under the sun on a nice day!

Kujukushima 99 islands cruise is a nice inclusion for our Kyushu trip. During the cruise we get to see marvellous landscape and scenery. The weather was fabulous on the day of our visit and the process to exchange the cruise tickets was easy and fuzz free.

From Hakata, take the Midori Limited Express to the last stop, Sasebo Station. Then, cross the road to bus stop number 6 and take the bus to Kujukushima Aquarium (the last stop). It's very simple (IC cards can be used on the bus). However, be aware that there's only one bus per hour, and there are no boats at 12 PM. So, upon arriving at Sasebo Station, we had lunch (hamburgers), then took the bus and caught the 1 PM boat. Kujukushima is definitely worth visiting, but the weather must be good. Therefore, you don't necessarily need to book in advance; you can plan your trip based on the weather, as there aren't many tourists on weekdays. However, if you want to ride the red Mirai-go boat, it's only available on holidays. There are Chinese announcements on the boat, which is a thoughtful touch.

It was an extremely marvelous journey! The view was so nice to take the ship out to the sea in the nature and cool weather!

Counter staff redeemed the voucher very quickly. Tickets over the counter are now JPY 1800 so it's a better deal with klook!

Purchasing on Klook is cheaper than buying on-site for 1800 yen. Upon arrival, simply present the QR code at the ticket counter to redeem your admission ticket. The boarding location is easy to find; there's a small path next to the aquarium, and it's just a 1-minute walk. The scenery of Kujukushima (Ninety-Nine Islands) is beautiful. We booked the 10:00 AM slot, boarding started about 10 minutes before, and the ship departed on time, returning to the pier exactly 50 minutes later. Additionally, in addition to Japanese announcements, there are also Chinese announcements on board.

It was drizzling that day, so the photos are a bit gloomy, but the actual scenery was incredibly beautiful. The 45-minute trip felt very worthwhile, and the Chinese audio guide on the boat was a thoughtful touch. Even though it was drizzling and very windy that day, I stayed on the deck the whole time taking photos and videos. My hands were frozen, but I was still very happy... Next time, I want to ride the other red pirate ship!

It costs 1800 yen to buy a ferry ticket on-site, but only HKD 88 on Klook. You can redeem the ticket with a QR code, which is very convenient. On the day, we took the first boat at 10 AM, and there weren't many people. By the time we disembarked, there was already a long queue for the second boat. The captain's driving skills were excellent, and he even performed a U-turn in a narrow sea lane. The weather was great, and the scenery along the way was beautiful.
