The restaurant in Shinjuku is split between 2 floors but they will seat you accordingly after they reconfirmed your name etc. There's a QR code to order food so it's easy. For me and my hubs, it was totally worth it to get the king crab option which best you gril it while the snow crabs you eat as is.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is excellent. We enjoyed the crabs, snow crabs, and king crabs, all of which were fresh. The service was exceptional. Since we are a family of four who love seafood, this is really worth it! Also, thanks to Mr. Ishikawa for accommodating us and helping us! We will definitely go back there!
Must follow the Google Map provided by Klook, as I went to the wrong Kanizanmai. The staff were helpful; even when our 100 minutes were up, they didn't rush us to leave. The food was great, and the unlimited king crab was so much that I didn't dare to order more and preferred sushi or other cooked food instead.
Overall, this was really worth it, because the crabs that they gave us were really huge, and we only had to order one time again because we were already very full. Kamameshi Rice must be ordered ahead of time, preferably before you start your buffet, because it takes forty minutes to cook. I suggest trying the mushroom and crab Kamameshi. Beer is not yet included, so that's an add-on, but the other non-alcoholic drinks are free. If you also wanted to grill seafood, it's also an add-on. For improvement, I wish they had an English-speaking staff.
Meal Taste: Although the price is a bit expensive, it already includes the reservation fee, service charge, and other necessary expenses. The set menu offers a rich selection, especially the king crab. After cracking it open, the meat is almost as big as a hot dog, which is incredibly enjoyable. I've never experienced such unlimited king crab before. Besides king crab, there are also many sushi varieties and other cooked dishes, and drinks are free-flow.
Our family of four was initially a little disappointed as we were unable to change the seats assigned to us, which were located right beside the toilet. However, the exceptional freshness of both the king crab and snow crab more than made up for this. That said, aside from the crabs, the rest of the menu items were quite average, or even below expectations. We were given a 100-minute seating time, with last orders closing 80 minutes after being seated. In our excitement, we spent too much time carefully dissecting the crabs, which left us with limited time to enjoy the other dishes. If you’re planning to visit, a helpful tip would be to have one person handle ordering while the others focus on cracking and serving the crabs. This way, you can avoid everyone getting their hands messy at once and wasting time on cleaning up, allowing you to make the most of your dining time.
The location is easy to find. There aren't many types of dishes, so I recommend focusing on eating crab, as just eating crab is enough to fill you up. After finishing the first course, women might not be able to eat a second round of crab legs. If you love eating crab, you can go once; one of their crab legs is truly longer than your arm and incredibly fresh and sweet. The restaurant environment provides each group of guests with a private room, so you won't be seen if you make a mess while eating. I'm still traumatized from eating so much crab meat because it was so delicious and plentiful that I don't want to see crab legs for another year, haha. Overall, it's good! Go for it, big eaters, haha!
The service staff were very proactive and enthusiastic. We ordered food via mobile phone, and the dishes were served quite quickly. The king crab legs were fresh, and I found them very delicious. However, because the crab legs were very large, I felt quite full after eating just a few.
This restaurant was the best way to end our visit to Japan, and it also offered a foreign-style Thanksgiving for my brother and friend. The king crab was amazing, the staff was super friendly, very accommodating, and provided awesome service. Also, a shoutout to the worker who complimented my Japanese! Book your reservation NOW!!
I'm extremely satisfied, I just regret having such a small stomach and not daring to order the kamameshi, because there were so many sushi options available. I also wouldn't recommend drinking, I'm too full! 😭
