Our guide was the best, making sure all of us are safe and keeping a good pace that we can handle. The steep steps are most challenging for me. The steep rocks and Tree roots were very very fun, so was the several ladders that you climb throughout. at some times, the trail has a decent amount of exposure for you to see how high up you are. When you do, the mountains and fog look amazing, but this might be scary for people with a fear of heights. Our guide was very helpful and took care of us. We were given so many food we did not finish haha. thank you so much
Overall, I truly appreciated the friendliness of the guide and the comfort provided during the trip. It made the hike not just a physical challenge, but also a memorable and enjoyable adventure. Highly recommended!
Kate was our tour guide, she spoke little English but she was caring and approachable, and looked after us throughout the hike. When we had cramps, she would give us mini massages to make sure we carry on. Equipment: Just take note that you’ll have to carry your own water that is provided by them, so don’t bring too much of your own.
The trip started in the morning, and it was raining heavily at that time. Our tour guide, Vha, was very helpful during the journey and cooked a lot of food for us. The accommodation for the night was quite basic, but it was fine. It's better to be prepared for the rainy and cold weather there. Overall, the trip was wonderful and challenging.
The trail was challenging as expected; there seemed to be a never-ending ascent and descent, but I’ve got to say the experience was really solid! I was initially the only hiker that day, but fortunately, I was joined by another hiker at the last minute. The changing temperatures throughout the hike also added to its difficulty. But you know what? The harder it gets, the more motivated you become. The meals served were delicious! We reached the summit around 8:30 am, just in time before the cable cars started operating and the place began to get crowded. Shoutout to my tough and kind tour guide, Nu—you rock!
Susu was our guide. The tour was divided into 3 parts. Part 1 was a 1.5-hour hike from Love Waterfall to the Lunch Point. Part 2 was tougher, a 1-hour and 15-minute hike from Lunch to your lodging. We started at 09:40 and arrived at 15:30. You have dinner and set off for the morning hike at 04:00. Part 3 was a 2-hour hike to the summit. A 1.5L water bottle was provided at the beginning, and another 500ml after your overnight stay. A sleeping bag was also provided. Good hiking shoes, hiking poles, and headlamps are a must. The toilet at the campsite was disgusting.
I booked hoping that there would be other hikers I could join, but there were none. However, the merchant allowed me to hike upon payment of a solo trekking surcharge. So it was just me and my female guide, Susi. The hike was challenging as expected, and it even rained in the afternoon, making the trails more challenging. We had lunch at the first base camp at 2020 masl and reached the second base camp around 4 pm. Susi was fun and patient with me despite me being a slow hiker. She prepared my meals, which were all modest and enough to satisfy my hunger after all the climbing! The next day, I decided to leave a bit late because the weather was rainy and cloudy, and I was quite sure there wouldn't be a sunrise. We walked until the summit... and I am so proud of myself to have hiked instead of just taking the cable car going up. But going down, I decided to take the cable car due to lack of time, as I needed to catch the sleeper bus to Hanoi that afternoon. Overall, the experience was very good and was well worth the money I spent. Thank you very much.
The local tour company provided us with seamless services, including pick-up, food, and chauffeur service to return to my hotel. The trekking guide was well-trained and competent, helping tour members complete the tour. While the course was challenging, I never felt unsafe because of the guide's guidance. This tour is highly recommended.
The guide and porters are very professional. They provide 1.5L and 500mL of water. The route consists of rocks, muddy soil, ladders, and stairs. Please be prepared for rain as the weather changes in minutes. There are stops along the way, so it's not that tiring.
It was a very challenging hike for me, with all the climbing up steep slopes and steps. My group had two guides with us, and one of them helped me a lot throughout, especially past the halfway point as it got harder and harder. He held my hand and made sure I didn't fall. I have to say, if it weren't for my guide, I believe it would have taken me much longer. I managed to arrive at the summit around 5:45 AM, as we had set off from the campsite at 3:30 AM. I got to see the sunrise and everything. All the effort paid off! I want to say a big thank you to my two guides!
