Experience: An absolute must-visit attraction in Seville! I highly recommend booking your tickets in advance on Klook so you don't have to wait in the ticket line. The exterior architecture and the interior carvings and decorations are breathtakingly beautiful. The entrance to the Giralda Tower is located inside the cathedral, and my suggested route is to climb the tower first before exploring the cathedral floor. To get to the top, you walk up 34 inclined ramps (there are no stairs), which rewards you with an amazing view of the Seville city center. A quick warning: if you have bad knees or get tired easily, take your time and rest at the corners. There is only one narrow ramp shared by people going up and coming down, so it can get a bit tight.

Una visita muy fructífera a la catedral, había planeado una visita de 1,5 horas pero terminé usando 3 horas. La torre de la Catedral ofrece una gran vista de la ciudad de Sevilla. El altar y las capillas de las catedrales también son muy impresionantes.

Must do in Sevilla. As easy as showing the confirmation to the staff. The gothic design cathedral is the resting place of Christian Columbus’s 14% remains, which DNA analysis proved in 2024. The oranges from the trees in the cathedral garden serves the Royal family only, therefore it named “the holy orange”. La Giralda is right next to the cathedral and you can see spectacular views of Sevilla from the tower’s top. Simple as get into the tower on the scheduled time. To get to the top with no stairs, just slope is such a blessing to those had climbed Basilica of Santa Maria Novella and Milan Cathedral.

Stepping inside the church, one is instantly transported from the scorching Andalusian sun outside into a tranquil and solemn sanctuary. Looking up, the towering Gothic arches stretch and intertwine like colossal trees carved from stone. Sunlight streams through the stained-glass windows, casting vibrant halos onto the mottled stone floor. At the deepest part of the nave is the breathtaking main altarpiece (Retablo Mayor). Countless gilded statues densely narrate biblical stories, shimmering in the faint candlelight, exuding a quiet yet awe-inspiring power. However, the most striking feature within the church is undoubtedly the Tomb of Columbus. Statues of the four Spanish kings—Castile, Leon, Aragon, and Navarre—bear the navigator's coffin aloft. Standing before the tomb, the tempestuous waves of the Age of Exploration stand in stark contrast to this serene hall, prompting reflection on the ebb and flow of time and the vicissitudes of history.

The entrance for pre-purchased tickets is different from the entrance for on-site ticket purchases. With pre-purchased tickets, you can enter directly next to the Giralda Tower, which is great as you don't have to queue in the scorching heat. Seville Cathedral is known as one of the three largest cathedrals in Europe. Its golden main altar is magnificent, and the blend of mosque and Catholic church styles is also very unique. You can see artifacts from both the Renaissance and Gothic architectural and decorative styles, making it well worth spending three to four hours slowly appreciating.

muy conveniente y fácil de comprar y canjear (también relativamente más barato debido a los descuentos de la plataforma). la catedral es increíble, aunque actualmente se están realizando reparaciones. no te pierdas la tumba de Colón. subir a la torre de la Giralda tampoco es tan difícil y la vista desde la cima es simplemente asombrosa. ¡altamente recomendado!

The Seville itinerary for this day was almost perfect; the Cathedral and Royal Palace were indescribably beautiful, and the architecture of the old town was magnificent, with its planning and layout being textbook-perfect. *Inside the splendid Cathedral, you can see four kings helping to carry Columbus's coffin.
