Our tour started from the Gold Coast, first picking up other travelers in Brisbane, then returning to Tamborine Mountain on the Gold Coast. We visited Australia's only glow worm sanctuary, and this was the only Chinese-guided tour we'd heard in our month in Australia. The guide explained everything in great detail and answered all our questions one by one. Inside the glow worm cave, we saw beautiful blue glow worms scattered across the artificial rock formations – it was truly stunning. After reaching the grassy area for sunset, our tour leader handed out picnic mats so we could sit and watch the sunset. The angle from this spot offered a perfectly spectacular sunset, with the light and shadow gradients incredibly clear; it was a breathtaking view. As soon as we arrived at the grass, we rushed towards the sunset, while our tour leader began preparing our dinner. We could freely assemble hot dog buns with chicken or beef sausages, and choose between potatoes or coleslaw. After the sun set, the temperature dropped instantly by several degrees, and eating warm food brought a great sense of happiness. After eating our fill, we began the highlight of the evening: stargazing. It was then that I realized how lovely our tour leader was. Unlike other guides, he wasn't constantly chattering; he was a rather quiet man. But when we finished watching the sunset and started stargazing, you could see his passion for the stars in his eyes. He brought out a super high-magnification telescope from the car, allowing us to see the actual bodies of the stars in the sky, even Jupiter's rings were incredibly clear. He also helped us take photos of what we saw with our phones, one by one. Although passing car lights caused some interference, our tour leader showed immense patience in this matter, demonstrating that he is a true lover of the night sky, from whom many treasures about the cosmos could be unearthed. After the tour, we first went to Brisbane to drop off the Brisbane travelers, then returned to the Gold Coast. The entire journey, traveling back and forth between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, totaled nearly five hours. It's very suitable for people living in Brisbane to join, but for those living on the Gold Coast, the journey is simply too long. The entire trip is on the highway, with no opportunities to replenish water or use the restroom. Therefore, those departing from the Gold Coast must ensure before leaving that they won't need to use the restroom for the next two and a half hours. Tamborine Mountain is very cold at night, so be sure to bring a thick jacket before you leave to comfortably enjoy the beautiful starry sky!
