I was originally worried it would be difficult because I'm not very good at knitting, but the teacher explained everything very thoroughly and patiently, and I got the hang of it in just a few tries! The classroom space is bright and spacious, the instructor speaks excellent English, and the refreshments were delicious. Thank you very much for this experience 🙏🏻 (The knitting yarn is pure silk, and the quality is excellent!!) Experience: Excellent
This was definitely worth it! We went on my husband's bday. It starts with a tour and history lesson, which we both enjoyed. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and there was no problems. After you make your bracelet they give you fresh matcha. I definitely wasn't to go back and do it again!
Satisfied!! Location: Not far from two subway stations, very convenient to find the place using Google Maps. Instructor: The instructor first introduced the knots and the history of the century-old shop, then patiently taught the knot-tying techniques. After I mastered the techniques, they helped me record videos and take photos with a camera. Experience: Not difficult to pick up, but it requires some concentration. It's indeed a suitable activity for calming one's mind. Later, I found out there was another type of knot-tying experience, so I immediately signed up for that one too.
Mój mąż i ja byliśmy zachwyceni tym doświadczeniem. Personel był wspaniały i bardzo gościnny. Zawsze szukamy wycieczek kulturowych podczas podróży, a ta była zdecydowanie jedną z najlepszych, jakie kiedykolwiek odbyliśmy!
What an absolutely fun and wonderful experience! The host was so lovely and we got a little history lesson before getting hands-on with the workshop. I recommend this to everyone.
It was a solid two-hour workshop. It included an introduction to the history of kumihimo and easy-to-follow instructions on braiding our own items (my children had no problem finishing theirs!). It requires total concentration and is absolutely fun. The lady guiding us spoke excellent English.
We really enjoyed this workshop. It was top-notch, and the instructor was great and very informative.
This was a really charming place with lots of older, authentic equipment to make the kumihimo braids. I really enjoyed making my braid (despite making a mistake, which was fixed). After using the marudai, I'm not sure if I can get used to a foam disk because the "rhythm" won't be the same. I've been spoiled. The instructor was very patient. My only "warning" is that you have to use Google Maps and have faith when it tells you to turn down a small street that appears residential. It will feel that you're going the wrong way, but if you follow, you will get to the location, which is well labeled, once you arrive. The tourist activity is only one aspect of the business, they seem to have a primary business of making the braids for shrines and other businesses around the nation.
- Experience: Absolutely amazing and culturally rich - Environment: Beautiful setting with warm atmosphere - Activity: Learned traditional braiding techniques and made a stunning bracelet - Instructors: Friendly & patient *** Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tokyo, perfect way to connect with Japanese heritage
