This was definitely worth it! We went on my husband's bday. It starts with a tour and history lesson, which we both enjoyed. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and there was no problems. After you make your bracelet they give you fresh matcha. I definitely wasn't to go back and do it again!

The kumihimo experience was a lovely and relaxing way to connect with traditional Japanese craftsmanship. The setting was peaceful, and I enjoyed learning how to weave the beautiful braids by hand. The guide was informative, kind, and very helpful throughout the process. They explained the history and role of kumihimo in Japanese culture, and guided us step-by-step with patience and care. It was both a cultural and creative experience, and I’m so happy to take home a handmade souvenir with personal meaning. Highly recommended for anyone looking to try something authentic and hands-on while in Japan!

Initially, I was hesitant to book this experience because it seemed a bit expensive compared to other options. However, since I really wanted to try Kumihimo, I decided to give it a go, and it was absolutely worth it! The guide for my group was incredibly kind and friendly. She provided a very insightful introduction to the history of Kumihimo and explained in detail the different types and their original uses. She was fluent in English, which made me feel more comfortable asking questions (as I usually feel disrespectful to locals when I speak English instead of Japanese). The actual braiding part was also very enjoyable, and she was always happy to assist. The final product is high quality, and overall, the experience is definitely worth the money!

10/10 recommend! It's a true insight to an almost forgotten art. It's definitely beginner friendly and you'll have help all the way! We got a thorough explanation of the company and their background in Komihiko along with the general background of this art. After that we got to pick out a colour set and started braiding, time will absolutely fly. It's very relaxing and definitely for all ages and genders! You need to expierence this, it takes somewhere between 1-2 hours total it think? And you get a totally handmade one of a kind item

The perfect mix of learning about all the incredible history and craftsmanship that goes into kumihimo with practical experience making yourself :) the staff were fluent in english, friendly and super knowledgeable and helpful. I found working on my piece very meditative and soothing surrounded by the soothing sounds of wood. highly recommend

Satisfied!! Location: Not far from two subway stations, very convenient to find the place using Google Maps. Instructor: The instructor first introduced the knots and the history of the century-old shop, then patiently taught the knot-tying techniques. After I mastered the techniques, they helped me record videos and take photos with a camera. Experience: Not difficult to pick up, but it requires some concentration. It's indeed a suitable activity for calming one's mind. Later, I found out there was another type of knot-tying experience, so I immediately signed up for that one too.

I was originally worried it would be difficult because I'm not very good at knitting, but the teacher explained everything very thoroughly and patiently, and I got the hang of it in just a few tries! The classroom space is bright and spacious, the instructor speaks excellent English, and the refreshments were delicious. A very good experience. Even someone new to crafts can do it perfectly. Yuki-san, the short-haired lady, has excellent English and is very gentle, helping with introductions and taking photos throughout. The twelve-strand braid is easy to weave, and all the color combinations are beautiful.
