Excursão para ver a Aurora Boreal saindo de Tromsø

Amazing experience with the team of 3 (2 guides + driver) led a bus group of 49pax, all public signed ups. Interesting to note that none of the 3 are Norwegian. ;). What’s more important is that they know where to take us to catch Ms Aurora dancing! All pictures are captured by iPhone 16. This is my 3rd time seeing Northern lights (1st Iceland, 2nd Finland), Tromso’s experience is hands down! Breathtaking!

The meeting point is in the city center, and even if you don't live nearby, there are buses available. On the return trip, you can choose to get off at the Arctic Cathedral, which is convenient for other tourists. Because there were many participants, a large tour bus was used for transportation. The weather was good that day, and there was a lot of aurora activity, so after an hour's drive, we arrived at a snowy plain, and then we had free time for photos. The guide had a professional camera to help take pictures, but there is a fee if you want the photos. The photos will be available on the website for one year, and you can choose not to purchase them. One photo costs NOK 290, and the more you buy, the cheaper it gets; for 9 or more photos, each is half price. If you don't want to spend money, it's best to bring all your own equipment. The guide knows a lot about the aurora and will find the best spot based on the weather and aurora activity, but the intensity of the aurora depends on luck. I was very lucky that night; the aurora directly lit up the snowy ground, but unfortunately, I only had my phone and no tripod.

Great, the weather was the best it's been all month. We saw the aurora borealis right as we set off, so they took us to a nearby but dark spot to watch it. It was absolutely beautiful!

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the Aurora Borealis. She was also very decisive about the viewing location, even though it had to be far away. Despite poor weather conditions, we were still able to see fabulous northern lights! It's incredible.

We managed to find the Aurora Activity, and it was magnificent! The tour guide made sure to list out the possible places and times to ensure we could experience the activity. They were really helpful in guiding us on how to shoot using phones or any camera! We also got hot drinks and biscuits.

I was very satisfied with this trip. We started heading home around 8 or 9 PM because we had already encountered many spectacular aurora displays when we began chasing them at 6 PM. The guide was also very kind and respected everyone's opinions.

If you don't have time, just book it and you'll be guided on how to capture the Northern Lights.

It was truly fantastic. I thought I wouldn't be able to see anything because of the severe wind and rain throughout the trip, but you were so good at finding the right spots. This trip was for seeing the aurora, and thanks to you, I achieved my goal. I love it so much; I'll definitely book again if I come back.

Basically, it's a bus tour to see the Northern Lights. In principle, the cost is just for the bus, which feels a bit expensive. Taking a boat, for example, at least gives you the feeling of a boat trip with scenery to enjoy, but for a pure bus ticket, it's quite pricey, even though the guide does explain a bit about the Northern Lights on the bus. Also, every time you get off the bus, your seat gets taken, so you're constantly moving and looking for a new spot, which is a bit annoying. However, the weather was good that day, and we saw a lot of Northern Lights.
