The first day's bus from Kathmandu to Chitwan was a bit disappointing because we weren't assigned specific seats, but the subsequent transfers and handling improved immediately. The Rainbow Safari Resort we partnered with felt very much like home, and all three meals provided were delicious. The jungle walk was quite interesting. It was a pity that during the jeep safari, due to the dry weather, not many animals appeared. Fortunately, we saw a rhinoceros up close near the end. I really enjoyed the subsequent jungle accommodation experience; our guide, Shankar, was truly attentive and professional, taking care of us throughout and explaining various animals. However, the bonfire in the forest at night somewhat spoiled the atmosphere, as the air and visibility were a bit poor. Overall, the trip was satisfactory.

Travel times are simply not punctual. A 7 AM departure might become 8 AM, or we'd wait for other guests, and it was common for the scheduled time to be exceeded by two hours. This meant our own time was cut short. While I could tolerate delays due to traffic conditions, the disorganization of passengers gathering for the shared bus was quite poor. Furthermore, unfortunately, Chitwan was not as good as I had hoped. Overall, the content designed to please customers was thin. The jeep safari, in particular, was exactly as a local student I befriended had warned me it would be – just driving nearly 40 kilometers on a bumpy road.
