Dolmabahçe Palace is truly stunning, living up to its reputation as the New Palace. The entire palace stands by the water, with its snow-white marble architecture facing the Bosphorus Strait. Its exterior is grand and magnificent, making every photo a masterpiece. The skip-the-line ticket saved us from long queues, and entry was smooth. With the audio guide, we could understand the historical stories behind it. Inside, the palace is opulent, with giant crystal chandeliers dazzling brightly and abundant gold decorations adding to its splendor, creating a powerful visual impact. Strolling along the corridors, one can experience the luxury of late Ottoman European court life while also enjoying views of the strait. The overall experience was excellent, the pace of the visit was comfortable, and the architectural aesthetics were impressive. It's definitely a must-visit when in Istanbul.

We first took audio guides, which are issued against a passport or ID. We didn't have ours, so we left a 2000 lira deposit for each. We got through quickly; there were no queues in the morning. We arrived around 10 AM, and after us, many people started coming. First, we saw the palace; photography is not allowed inside, and everything felt somewhat monotonous. Then we went to the harem, which was pretty much the same as the palace, with no household items, dishes, or everyday objects. Next, we went to the art gallery. Here, works by Aivazovsky are displayed, which he painted when he was in Istanbul in 1874. There are also many works by other artists. We left and went to a cafe, where we had a snack. The food was generally decent, but the prices were higher than the city average. We continued walking around the grounds; we wanted to visit the clock museum, but it was closed, and the crystal gallery was also closed. In the far corner of the garden, there were chickens and turkeys, and a peacock was running around. Many cats too. In total, we spent about 3 hours. If it weren't for the slightly inflated prices, it would have been quite good.

Since the admission ticket was expensive, I spent as much time as possible and saw it for 4 hours!! It was a palace definitely worth visiting!! I was very satisfied and highly recommend it!! However, it seems beneficial to do an 'open run' (arrive at opening time) haha. As I was leaving, the line was enormous~~!! haha

Kesinlikle ziyaret etmeye değer. Bahçeler ve avlu çok güzel bakımlı ve çarpıcı manzaralar sunuyor, bu da onları dolaşmak ve fotoğraf çekmek için harika bir yer yapıyor. İç mekan daha da etkileyici; lüks, zarif ve büyük avizelerden zengin bir şekilde dekore edilmiş salonlara kadar enfes detaylarla dolu. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nun tarihini ve ihtişamını deneyimlemek için harika bir yer. İstanbul gezi planınıza eklemenizi şiddetle tavsiye ederim.

The palace was on large grounds, so it would have been good if the entrance was highlighted... actually, it's on the eastern side. The gardens and house, along with the smaller museums, are well worth the admission. You can easily spend 3+ hours and do a lot of walking.

If you can only visit one place, make it this one. The interior is incredibly spacious, a feast for the eyes, and its grandeur is so immense it can't be captured in photos. It truly feels like being in Europe. Even if it's expensive, you absolutely must go here. You don't need to go inside other places, but you'll regret not visiting this one.

Valeu cada centavo!!!!! Foi mágico!!!! Fiquei sem palavras em cada canto do palácio e passei 4,5 horas lá 😆😍 Sou uma viajante solo e fico feliz por ter comprado o ingresso com audioguia e a seção do Harém incluídos através do Klook. Obrigada!!!

We enjoyed the visit to both places a lot! It's a pity that taking pictures in the palace is prohibited as it's an excellent piece of art, there are many rooms to visit and everything is very well preserved. Galata tower offers very nice views of the city, we went around 8 pm as earlier the queue was too long.
