Thanks to our delightful guide, Eddie, from 7 AM to 6 PM, the day was never boring and incredibly enjoyable. From the moment we set off, he introduced us to passing attractions and their history. He had a great sense for music, playing exciting tunes when we arrived at a spot and relaxing music during our breaks. In the desert, he took amazing photos and videos with a professional touch. He also gave us many tips to move efficiently without wasting time, so we truly made the most of every moment. He took great care of families with children and solo travelers alike, and was happy to answer questions about daily life or take photos. Thank you for the quiz event, Sydney travel tips, and gifts! I'd like to add a few personal observations: 1) The coffee at the restaurant/snack bar at the dolphin cruise pier is quite good. 2) During the dolphin cruise, the dolphins come very close, right up to and even under the cruise ship. I recommend not going to the second floor, but instead staying at the front of the deck, holding onto the railing, to watch them. 3) On windy days, even if the sun is warm, it can be cold on the cruise. Bring a windbreaker. (Based on early April). 4) For those with long hair, it can get very messy from the wind on the cruise, so it might be good to bring a comb. 5) Sandboarding is not standing on a board, but sitting on a sled. They suggest preparing sandals or slippers, but I recommend just taking off your shoes and playing. The sand is fine, so it doesn't hurt and isn't too hot. (Based on early April). 6) You spend about an hour in the desert, and you can feel yourself getting cooked in real-time, so re-applying sunblock is essential. However, since a lot of sand sticks to your face and arms, spraying might be better than applying cream or stick. 7) Don't worry about photos, as the guide takes them so well. It's a personal preference, but I think both men and women look better in photos wearing slim-fitting clothes. 8) You can eat sand. Not just people, but phones and bags also 'eat' sand, and once you start trying to brush it off, it seems to come out endlessly. Be prepared. 9) They say it's good to bring a towel to wipe or brush off sand. I forgot, but it wasn't a huge issue. 10) At the zoo, you can get very close to koalas and kangaroos. You can't hold them, but we fed them and took as many photos as we wanted without any extra charge. 11) Oakvale isn't huge, but if you want to explore every corner, don't be too generous with the herbivore feed at the beginning. 12) The lawns are also the animals' restrooms. Watch where you step and be careful if you're wearing sandals or slippers.
The children, excited about their long journey, were thrilled to see dolphins swimming right in front of them, thanks to the guide who pinpointed the exact viewing spot. They also experienced sandboarding on fine sand, something they had never done before. The kids found it hard to climb the dunes at Port Stephens, which they described as being like the Uyuni Salt Flats, but they went down several times. They saw and touched kangaroos and koalas, which they had only seen in photo albums and drawings, and even fed them. I was amazed to see these things firsthand. Many thanks to Guide Juno for making our tour so smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
We finally went on the long-delayed Port Stephens trip with our "Baldy" (Kim Min-wook) guide. He explained Australia's history, its differences from Korea, facts about koalas, and unique Australian animals in a concise and entertaining way, making the car journeys enjoyable. Most importantly, he planned the time meticulously, ensuring a swift tour with minimal waiting, so we didn't feel tired at all. I would definitely tour Australia again with the energetic "Baldy" uncle. + I got to touch a koala, and it was so cute! 🐨
There were many other tours with more reviews, but I wasn't interested in wineries, so I chose this tour on Klook despite fewer reviews, and I'm very satisfied! It was a fulfilling full-day tour. The guide gave us a lot of explanations about Australian history and recommended many places to eat and visit in Sydney. The 20 years of experience of the owner living in Australia really shone through! The dolphin cruise! I didn't have high expectations, but perhaps because there were so many of them, we saw a lot. It was a windy day with big waves, and the sea had been rough the day before, making the water murky, but we still saw more than seven dolphins right up close! We could even see their blowholes. If you include the dolphins further away, there were many more. The guide gives tips before you board, so I recommend following them! Sandboarding is fun and you can get many great photos. When you arrive, the owner hands you brightly colored flag blankets for photos and takes pictures for you, and they turn out really beautifully. It's so much fun and great for sensory play, but on windy days, sand gets everywhere in your mouth! I recommend wearing sunglasses if possible and a mask when you're riding! Only take them off when taking pictures. Sand also gets in your socks while walking from the bus, so I personally recommend taking off your shoes and socks on the bus and changing into slippers or sandals. If you're only wearing slippers, take them off at the sledding spot before riding. Oakvale Wildlife Park was also great because you could freely feed and pet the kangaroos. I was hoping to see a quokka in person, but unfortunately, the quokka had gone to the hospital on the day we visited. Still, the guide provided all the food, and we were able to interact a lot with the animals roaming around, which was satisfying. If you want to make the most of your Port Stephens tour, I highly recommend this one! It was a satisfying itinerary. +For those who don't like bibimbap, I recommend eating simply if you choose to eat freely. I also chose to eat freely and thought I picked a simple menu, but it still took longer than expected. I recommend searching for nearby restaurants in advance! I had searched in advance and went straight to the restaurant I had picked, but it was a public holiday, so all the nearby kitchens were closed, which ate up all my time.
I went on the Nelson Bay Port Stephens Oakvale Wildlife Park tour with Australia Unlimited Tour. I really enjoyed the relaxed and local feel of Nelson Bay, and most of all, the breathtaking natural scenery and fine sand of Port Stephens, and the great photos taken for us, made it truly fun. I lost track of time at the wildlife park because the animals were so cute! Look at these koala pictures, I even got to touch them.
This trip involved three generations – parents, children, and us – so there were many things to consider. I couldn't make it too child-focused, but I also worried that a tour that was too static would bore the children. After much deliberation, I found the perfect tour for our three generations! I booked the Port Stephens free itinerary and spoke to a consultant, who informed me that I could add activities. So, we all enjoyed the dolphin cruise together, while only the children went sandboarding. During that time, my parents and my husband and I enjoyed a camel ride. Oh, and my parents had some difficulty with meals, but fortunately, we were able to add bibimbap to our meal, so the whole family ate deliciously and heartily. On the way back to Sydney, we visited Oakvale Wildlife Park. I had read reviews beforehand saying that if you go in the afternoon, the kangaroos are asleep and you can't see the koalas, so I was worried. But to my surprise, everyone was actively playing, so we fed them and took pictures, haha. It's really difficult to find a tour that satisfies all three generations, isn't it? But our guide was so cheerful and humorous that we laughed non-stop throughout the tour, and the itinerary could be adjusted to individual preferences, which made it a truly wonderful tour!
Thanks to our guide, we had a very fulfilling and enjoyable day ❤️. I went alone and almost only had landscape photos, but at every spot we visited, the guide told me to pose, took photos with all their heart, and kept me company so I wouldn't feel lonely. They paid extra attention to me, making it the most memorable and happiest day of my Sydney trip. It was a 6-hour round trip, but the car was brand new with wool seats? They even had those, so the long journey didn't feel long at all; it was very comfortable. And just as the guide said, the bibimbap was really delicious. Especially the beef bone broth, wow~ it was perfect, haha. For those going to Sydney, I highly, highly recommend this tour two or three times over! 👍👍👍
The Port Stephens tour with guide Eddie was very comfortable and enjoyable. Unlike other guides, he was very well-prepared and explained everything clearly, which was very informative. It must have been hot and tiring to drive, but I appreciate his kind guidance! I highly recommend this guide for anyone planning to visit Australia and take a Port Stephens tour!
I went alone after applying, and the guide took great care of me and even took photos, which was wonderful. They drove long distances, provided excellent Australian travel information along the way, and even recommended local restaurants. It was a truly great experience!
The guide was very kind, and I had a fun and comfortable experience throughout the tour!!! The desert tour was hot but a fresh experience, and it was so much fun to see and touch Australia's representative animals up close!!!
