Initially, I didn't know how to find the tour guide at the meeting point. Fortunately, with the help of church staff, I was directed to the group's assembly location. I almost thought I was going to miss it! The young guide, being Jewish himself, shared his experiences and history. We spent the most time at the church, had a quick look at the Jewish Museum, then visited the Memorial Garden, and concluded with the statue commemorating the Swiss ambassador who saved Jewish children.

We were the only group (2 people) participating this time, so it became a private tour. Although the tour was in English, it was quite easy to understand. The guide happened to be Jewish, and hearing him recount this history added a special intensity. I highly recommend this tour to everyone.

The meeting point was a bit difficult to find because there were many people on site, including those who had already purchased admission tickets on the official website and members of many other tour groups. We had to proactively ask people who looked like guides to confirm if we were with the right group. The guide's explanation was detailed and sincere, not only recounting Jewish history but also focusing on the relationship between Jews and Hungary.

The tour guide's English was excellent, and they made an effort to look after group members who weren't native English speakers. However, too many people joined the tour spontaneously along the way, which somewhat impacted the quality.

Two hours for the Jewish heritage tour is enough! That's the whole point! But actually, the two-hour tour isn't great value for money; it's too expensive. Those who sign up for the four-hour grand tour are grouped with the two-hour tour participants. After the two-hour tour ends, the guide calls out the names of those continuing for four hours, but the subsequent part of the tour is a complete waste of money and time! It feels like it was just tacked on to fill time! The only good thing was the cake. But, one piece of cake + one cup of coffee, plus the guide taking us to a free attraction and a souvenir shop!? To spend an extra hour and over a thousand dollars for that... and then they tell me it's a grand tour... what the heck!? And it seems like we even missed one attraction that required an entrance fee! I need to file a complaint and get a reasonable explanation! In summary: absolutely do not take the grand tour, it's a waste of money and time! If you're interested in hearing the guide's explanations, two hours is sufficient! But if you've already done your research, you don't even need a guide; just buy a ticket and go in yourself, everything is at the Tobacco Street Synagogue! You just need to queue a bit to buy tickets when it's crowded.
