Rooms were clean and the cleaning staff were fantastic. The beds were so hard I could not sleep. Also, we did not research well enough about the onsen, it is not tattoo friendly. We originally picked it for the amazing onsen. Unfortunately my husband and I could not enter due to us having tattoos. Our daughters got to enjoy it instead, but disappointing.

The Hotel Liber is the last stop on the train line and one stop pass Universal. When everyone is leaving Universal, they will be packed in the train like sardines trying to head back into Osaka. You’ll go away from all this and will likely be one or two person on the train. The hotel has a ton of amenities and feels very American— abnormally large and grand. Get the breakfast, worth it.

I imagine that virtually everyone staying at Liber Hotel is there to visit Universal Studios. The hotel itself was wonderful. The breakfast was incredibly lavish—almost like a dinner—and tasted delicious. It was a real treat to find hot spring baths waiting for us when we returned, exhausted from a day at the park. We were a group of six, and when we asked the staff to arrange a large taxi to Shin-Osaka Station, they provided a vehicle that exceeded our expectations. There was also a Kuroneko Yamato (Yamato Transport) service on-site, allowing us to ship six suitcases to Tokyo right from the hotel. If I had one minor wish, it would be for a few more shops in the immediate vicinity.

I stayed at LIBER Hotel Osaka during a business trip. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the train station, making it very easy to get around Osaka and visit nearby attractions. The room was spacious, very clean, and offered a great view. Housekeeping did an excellent job, and room service was very good. The breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay, with a wide variety of high-quality options. There were, however, a few areas that could be improved. The hotel provides luggage carts, but guests are expected to transport their own luggage to their rooms. Some assistance from the staff would have been appreciated, especially after a long journey. I also purchased access to the lounge, but it was disappointing and not worth the additional cost. It is simply an open seating area on the first floor with coffee, water, and a few small cookies. It did not feel like a true executive lounge or offer enough amenities to justify the price. When I requested a two-hour late checkout, the front desk immediately calculated an additional charge of approximately $220 for my one room. After a lengthy discussion, they agreed to extend my checkout by only one additional hour at no charge. I found the initial approach to customer service to be inflexible. I also paid for access to the sauna but unfortunately never had time to use it. Because the hotel is located next to Universal Studios Japan, it was filled children
