We had an amazing tour guide that explained the history of the tour and the city.

Ik heb vandaag de Statue of Liberty Express Cruise in New York genomen, en eerlijk gezegd bleek het een geweldige beslissing te zijn. Aanvankelijk twijfelde ik tussen deze cruise en de gratis Staten Island Ferry, maar na het bekijken van een paar YouTube-video's realiseerde ik me dat deze cruise veel betere en dichtere uitzichten op het Vrijheidsbeeld zou bieden – en dat deed het absoluut. Ik betaalde ongeveer $25, wat ik absoluut de moeite waard vind. Omdat ik op een doordeweekse middag reisde, was de veerboot verrassend minder druk, wat me voldoende ruimte en tijd gaf om zonder haast foto's te maken. De cruise is zeer goed onderhouden en heeft meerdere zitplaatsopties. Er is een open bovendek met een prachtig uitzicht op de skyline, plus binnendekken voor mensen die warm willen blijven bij kouder weer. De gids was ook uitstekend – erg grappig, informatief en legde de skyline van New York en nabijgelegen bezienswaardigheden heel goed uit. De hele reis duurde ongeveer 45-50 minuten. Comfortabel, schilderachtig en zeker waar voor je geld.

Boeken via Klook was van begin tot eind een ongelooflijk naadloze ervaring. De directe bevestiging gaf gemoedsrust, en het inwisselen van de voucher op de locatie was zo eenvoudig als het tonen van een QR-code op mijn telefoon, waardoor ik de lange wachtrijen voor tickets volledig kon omzeilen. Niet alleen was het platform gebruiksvriendelijk, maar de prijs was ook concurrerender dan ter plaatse kopen. De verstrekte instructies waren duidelijk en nauwkeurig, wat het hele proces stressvrij en efficiënt maakte. Ik zou deze service ten zeerste aanbevelen aan iedereen die tijd en geld wil besparen op hun volgende activiteit.

Over two relaxed hours, the boat glides down the Hudson, passes within close range of an illuminated Statue of Liberty for prime photo stops, and cruises under the lit-up Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges, all accompanied by engaging, knowledgeable live commentary from local guides. While popular sailings can feel crowded—making it smart to arrive 45 minutes early to grab an outdoor seat on the starboard (right) side—the stunning panoramic views and climate-controlled lower decks make it well worth the ticket for both first-timers and return visitors.

De tour is geweldig. Dit is een attractie die je absoluut moet bezoeken in New York. Er zijn veel beroemde schilderijen en prachtige artefacten.

Geweldig museum! Het lijkt wel alsof je minstens een week nodig hebt om het te bekijken. Ik was zo gefascineerd door de impressionisten dat ik de groep kwijtraakte.

After booking through Klook, I received an email from the tour company, AmigoTour. It stated that the meeting point was on the sidewalk in front of the Hyatt Hotel entrance at 8:15 AM, 15 minutes before the tour started. Around 8:10 AM, I went to what I vaguely thought was the subway exit for the meeting point, and there were about 20 people, presumably tour participants, standing around. There were no signs or guides at the location. The Hyatt Hotel is at the corner of East 42nd Street and Lexington Avenue, and the meeting point was near that corner of the hotel. At 8:15 AM, our guide, Jose, loudly called out "AmigoTour." He checked the list of participants in the order they lined up. I had prepared my Klook eTicket on my smartphone, but it wasn't needed. We were on a half-day tour, but most participants seemed to be on the full-day tour. At the end, the guide told us, "We'll return to the Hyatt Hotel, but if you change your mind, you can switch to the full-day tour, just let me know." We wanted to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and then to Battery Park and Ground Zero, so we informed him that we would "drop out at the Brooklyn Bridge as per our booking." After that, we boarded the bus that was parked across the intersection, and the tour began. The guide spoke English very slowly, which made it easy to understand. He was also very punctual, and as other reviews mentioned, he was an excellent person. For a tour costing only about 7,000 yen, it covered the perimeter of NYC (west -> north -> east -> south), allowing us to experience areas outside of central Manhattan. While it's difficult to visit areas like Harlem and the Bronx on a typical trip, this bus window tour provided a great experience. We stayed in NYC for three nights, and after being so satisfied with this tour on the first day, we decided to cancel our planned destinations for the remaining two days and just relax. Most of the approximately 30 participants were from Europe; we were the only Asians. This tour seems to only run on weekends, but the cost performance and the guide were both excellent. We were so satisfied that we gave a $10 tip to both the guide and the driver when we got off.
