Penghu Guanyin Temple tours

This package is a good deal as it covers the flights from Songshan to Magong, transport from every stop, 2 nights hotel, guided activities, and some meals. I think eating was really the biggest highlight for us as we didn’t pick the water activities. We chose to do the island hopping and it’s quite chill walking around the small islands. The Magong guide (Wen Yi) was hardworking and communicative. It’s very organized as the agencies combine different travelers together from different itineraries. No complaints! You should speak Chinese as I didn’t see many English speaking guides and you should be prepared for the heat in July and extreme sunlight.

Eerst gingen we cruisen in de buurt en daarna naar het zeeboerderijplatform voor het avondeten. Op de zeeboerderij kon je onbeperkt gegrilde oesters en zeevruchtenpap eten. De zeevruchtenpap bevatte echter niet veel ingrediënten, dus zelfs na vier kommen voelde het nog een beetje leeg aan... Daarnaast bood de boot een à-la-carteservice aan, maar de gerechten waren helaas vrij duur. Op de boot kon je kleine pijlinktvissen vangen, en als je er een ving, kon de keuken die ter plekke voor je bereiden. Destijds ving slechts één persoon op de hele boot iets, dus de kans was extreem klein. Bovendien kon je op het platform voor de lol vissen (zonder haak, alleen aas) op onder andere cobia en inktvis. De algehele ervaring was redelijk goed.

Vandaag namen we de Haiyou 50. Het nadeel van boeken via Klook is dat er geen gratis transfer is naar het Nanhai Service Center, maar de hele reis is nog steeds zeer aan te bevelen. Als je snel zeeziek wordt, vergeet dan niet om van tevoren medicatie tegen zeeziekte, een mondkapje en oordopjes mee te nemen. Bij mooi weer zijn de foto's prachtig. Op Dongji Island is het zeker aan te raden om een scooter te huren; je kunt dit al regelen en betalen voordat je aan boord gaat. Het is te zonnig om te lopen en het kost meer tijd om de bezienswaardigheden te bereiken. Met een scooter is het heerlijk koel en hoef je niet buiten adem te raken. De optionele snorkeltocht naar Dongyuping was niet te druk en voelde vrij ontspannen aan. De instructeur was ook zeer zorgvuldig en professioneel. De gids, Allen, was erg grappig en humoristisch.

先前往東吉嶼，船上冷氣很強，怕冷的要穿件外套，東吉嶼島上導遊解說的清清楚楚，天氣好真的很好拍照👍，藍洞只能遠遠看拍一下，光線剛好沒有配合有點可惜，七美島有租車比較方便，騎著摩托車繞著外圈各景點都看得到，很方便，就是機車上沒手機架有點不方便，可能是因為還不到旺季，人潮不會太多，該拍的都拍得很好👍👍👍，下次再找時間再去別的島看看。

Eerlijk gezegd is het niet goedkoop. De verzameltijd is ongeveer 7:30 uur 's ochtends en de terugreis is rond 15:30 uur. De gids/chauffeur op Qimei zal het landschap introduceren, maar waarschijnlijk is het een standaardverhaal. De gids/chauffeur op Wanan was zelfs te lui om iets te zeggen. Het tijdschema is vrij strak, maar het is een goede manier om beide eilanden in één dag te bezoeken. De tijd is goed beheerd, maar je kunt niet te lang blijven op bijzonder mooie plekken. De hele groep heeft ongeveer de grootte van een grote touringcar, dus iedereen beïnvloedt elkaar. Dit soort reis is geschikt voor een snelle verkenning, maar niet voor rustig genieten. Op het eiland Wanan zal de gids je naar een eenvoudig restaurant leiden voor de lunch; de prijs is redelijk (apart te betalen). Er is echter ook een FamilyMart-supermarkt in de buurt, en achteraf gezien hoef je niet per se in een restaurant te eten als het erg warm is. Over het algemeen is het landschap prachtig, en als je beperkte tijd hebt, kun je met deze tour de mooiste plekjes zien.

De diepgaande rondleiding in combinatie met de heldere uitleg zorgden ervoor dat we de noordelijke route gemakkelijk konden voltooien, en er werd ook geholpen met foto's maken en het introduceren van lokale gerechten. Top! 👍

Excellent Experience with Beautiful Coral and Great Guides I had a really good experience on this tour, which featured beautiful coral, knowledgeable coaches and guides, and a seamless process. Please note that the entire tour is conducted in Chinese. Our guide, "Tu Dou" (Potato), contacted me the day before via text and email to remind me of the meeting location and offer tips to prevent seasickness. Here's a rough itinerary for the bus tour and snorkeling, as it was initially unclear to me: 7:20 AM: Arrive at Nanhai Visitor Center. Exchange Klook voucher for ferry and bus tickets at the "Jin Ba Da" counter. Meet Potato for further instructions.7:35 AM: Begin boarding the ferry.8:00 AM: Ferry to Qimei departs.9:15 AM: Arrive at Qimei. Meet Potato at the pier and board the bus to a less crowded bathroom.9:30 AM: Short bus ride from the bathroom to the snorkeling spot.Snorkeling Schedule: After a 10-15 minute wait for other tourists (arriving on scooters) and another 15-20 minutes to change into snorkeling gear, the coaches teach you how to use the equipment and then take you to the coral reefs. At the reefs, each coach oversees 8-10 people, who hold onto lifebuoys or each other while the coach guides you through the water. The coral is abundant and beautiful. Coaches take pictures and provide bread to feed the fish.11:30 AM: Bus back to the pier for lunch (my only complaint is that there's not enough time for a substantial meal).12:00 PM: Transfer to a larger tour bus with other tourists, which takes you to Qimei's attractions: Seven Beauties Tomb, Great Stone Lion Recreational Area (try the conch here; it's very delicious), Little Taiwan, and Twin Hearts Stone Weir. Spend 15-30 minutes at each site, which is ample time to explore.2:00 PM: Return to the pier.2:10 PM: Board the ferry.2:20 PM: Ferry departs back to Magong.3:30 PM: Ferry arrives in Magong.If this is your first time snorkeling, you will feel very supported by the coaches. However, if you are already experienced, you might find the coaches' guidance a bit restrictive. Additionally, the bus tour is structured, so you might not feel as free. Next time, I plan to rent scooters for more flexibility.
