Swan River tours

Tim haalde ons op bij Barrack Square Jetty Pier nr. 4 - wat duidelijk was gecommuniceerd en redelijk op tijd. Het busje was comfortabel. Hij voorzag ons ook van flessen water. Ik vond het geweldig dat Tim eerder in Caversham Wildlife Park had gewerkt, waardoor de hele trip daar perfect op tijd en goed voorbereid was (tip: een zakje voederkorrels om de kangoeroes en andere dieren te voeren). We lunchten bij Mandoon Estate waar we kozen voor vegetarisch eten. Het eten werd snel, warm en heerlijk geserveerd. Daarna vervolgden we onze reis naar de Margaret River Chocolate Company - Tim gaf ons gratis chocolaatjes om te proeven, en we kochten er een paar als souvenirs. Later bezochten we Scarborough Beach, wat geweldig was omdat het weer ook erg goed was. En we sloten onze reis af in Kings Park, waar we rondwandelden en een paar memorabele foto's maakten. Over het algemeen wordt verwacht dat dit soort groepsreizen een beetje gehaast zijn, maar het voldeed aan onze doelstellingen voor die dag.

We met at the meeting point in the morning, boarded the bus, and departed. Upon arriving at the Crown Hotel, we transferred to another bus, and the entire itinerary proceeded on schedule. The bus driver also served as our guide, providing thorough explanations. Although the tour itinerary stated drop-off at Barrack Street Jetty, the driver checked with everyone to find out where was closest to their accommodation and dropped them off there.

Perth–Fremantle One-Way Cruise — 14 August 2026 We had a wonderful experience on the Perth–Fremantle one-way cruise on 14 August. Our group of four really enjoyed the relaxing journey, especially with the beautiful weather and stunning views along the Swan River. The cruise provided a lovely opportunity to sit back, enjoy the scenery and take plenty of photos while travelling between Perth and Fremantle. Everything was comfortable and well organised, and the journey felt like an experience in itself rather than simply a way of getting from one place to another. The pleasant weather made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for families, friends and anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic way to experience Perth and Fremantle.

Swan Valley is such a beautiful place to slow down, enjoy the vineyard views, taste some good wine, and simply enjoy the moment.

Hoewel we op één dag veel plaatsen hebben bezocht en ik begrijp dat iedereen verschillende voorkeuren heeft en we misschien niet langer konden blijven waar we wilden, ben ik over het algemeen tevreden met de reisroute. De hoteltransfer was erg handig, de lunch was heerlijk en de locatie was ook goed. Op deze dag kwamen we een zeldzame storm tegen in Zuidwest-Australië, die eens in de vijf jaar voorkomt. Op de snelweg voelde de auto erg onstabiel aan, maar gelukkig heeft gids Cindy veel ervaring, waardoor de hele reis veilig is voltooid!

I took a cruise, chatted with people, drank some wine, and then went to a winery where I listened intently to explanations and drank a lot of wine. It would be great for wine lovers, and I really enjoyed having plenty of time.

The tour started at Pier 3 at Barrack Square, where the pickup for the cruise was punctual and well organised. The cruise itself was a lovely way to begin the day, with interesting commentary along the way. We were welcomed with a delicious glass of champagne, followed by three glasses of wine, as well as onboard lunch. We arrived at Mandoon Jetty at around 12.45pm, where we joined the bus tour for the afternoon. Our first stop was Windy Creek Estate, and wow, there were a lot of wines to taste! I counted easily around 15 different glasses of wine if you were game enough to try every single one. Next was Garbin Estate Wines, where, haha, there were another 10 or so wines available for tasting. After all that wine, we headed to Swan Valley Brewery for some beer and chips, which was a nice change of pace. Our final stop was the nearby Whistler's Chocolate Company & Cafe. We got back on the bus and returned to the city at around 5pm.
