Perth–Fremantle One-Way Cruise — 14 August 2026 We had a wonderful experience on the Perth–Fremantle one-way cruise on 14 August. Our group of four really enjoyed the relaxing journey, especially with the beautiful weather and stunning views along the Swan River. The cruise provided a lovely opportunity to sit back, enjoy the scenery and take plenty of photos while travelling between Perth and Fremantle. Everything was comfortable and well organised, and the journey felt like an experience in itself rather than simply a way of getting from one place to another. The pleasant weather made the trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for families, friends and anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic way to experience Perth and Fremantle.

Tim hentede os ved Barrack Square Jetty Pier nr. 4 – hvilket var tydeligt informeret og ret punktligt. Varevognen var komfortabel. Han sørgede også for flaskevand. Jeg elskede, at Tim tidligere havde arbejdet i Caversham Wildlife Park, hvilket betød, at hele turen derinde var præcis til tiden og velforberedt (tip: en pose foderpiller til at fodre kænguruerne og andre dyr). Vi spiste frokost på Mandoon Estate, hvor vi valgte vegetarisk mad. Maden blev serveret hurtigt, varm og lækker. Derefter fortsatte vi vores rejse til Margaret River Chocolate Company – Tim gav os nogle chokolader til gratis smagsprøver, og vi købte nogle som souvenirs. Senere besøgte vi Scarborough Beach, som var fantastisk, da vejret også var meget godt. Og vi afsluttede vores tur i Kings Park, spadserede rundt og tog et par mindeværdige billeder. Generelt forventes denne type gruppetur at være lidt forhastet, men den opfyldte vores mål for dagen.

We met at the meeting point in the morning, boarded the bus, and departed. Upon arriving at the Crown Hotel, we transferred to another bus, and the entire itinerary proceeded on schedule. The bus driver also served as our guide, providing thorough explanations. Although the tour itinerary stated drop-off at Barrack Street Jetty, the driver checked with everyone to find out where was closest to their accommodation and dropped them off there.

Swan Valley is such a beautiful place to slow down, enjoy the vineyard views, taste some good wine, and simply enjoy the moment.

Selvom vi besøgte mange steder på én dag, og jeg forstår, at alle har forskellige præferencer, så vi måske ikke kunne blive længere de steder, vi bedst kunne lide, var jeg for det meste tilfreds med turen. Hotelafhentningen var meget praktisk, frokosten var lækker, og stederne var gode. På dagen oplevede vi den værste storm i det sydvestlige Australien i fem år, og bilen føltes meget ustabil på motorvejen. Heldigvis var vores guide, Cindy, meget erfaren og gennemførte hele turen uden problemer!

I took a cruise, chatted with people, drank some wine, and then went to a winery where I listened intently to explanations and drank a lot of wine. It would be great for wine lovers, and I really enjoyed having plenty of time.

The tour started at Pier 3 at Barrack Square, where the pickup for the cruise was punctual and well organised. The cruise itself was a lovely way to begin the day, with interesting commentary along the way. We were welcomed with a delicious glass of champagne, followed by three glasses of wine, as well as onboard lunch. We arrived at Mandoon Jetty at around 12.45pm, where we joined the bus tour for the afternoon. Our first stop was Windy Creek Estate, and wow, there were a lot of wines to taste! I counted easily around 15 different glasses of wine if you were game enough to try every single one. Next was Garbin Estate Wines, where, haha, there were another 10 or so wines available for tasting. After all that wine, we headed to Swan Valley Brewery for some beer and chips, which was a nice change of pace. Our final stop was the nearby Whistler's Chocolate Company & Cafe. We got back on the bus and returned to the city at around 5pm.
