Meneer Augus, onze gids, was geweldig! We werden stipt opgehaald bij de Sekupang-terminal en begonnen onze tour met een bezoek aan het Guanyim-beeld, de activiteiten zoals vliegend tapijt en daarna lunch in Barelang Kelong. Daarna gingen we voor een spa- en voetreflexologiebehandeling bij Reborn in Nagoya, vervolgens het Trick Eye Museum, een winkel met vogelnestjes, en we aten Nasi Padang voordat we terugkeerden naar de Batam-ferryterminal. This package is great as it offers many tour options and also selection of restaurants. I chose the ‘High Tea with Forest View’ and Seafood meal option with ferry tickets included. Rainbow, from the local tour agency, was very prompt in getting everything booked and very patient to explain everything to me. As first-timers to Batam, this package offers great value for money and is hassle-free. For the seafood meal, I chose Balerang Seafood Restaurant which had good food of generous amount and great seaview and the Balerang Bridge. The local kueh-kueh for ‘high tea’ at the Deer Park was delicious too. And the deers are beautiful- not the ones we usually see at nature reserve or wildlife parks. I also appreciated that it was a private tour, so timing was more flexible. We could easily move on to the next location without being stuck in a place that didn’t interest us. We didn’t fancy the bird nest shop or the kueh lapis shop which has a minimum purchase of 1kg kueh lapis. We bought the kueh lapis at Nagoya shopping mall instead - which was the last part of our tour (could choose either massage or shopping mall). We like the coffee factory. Although the Indonesian tour guide is young and quite a newbie, she was obliging and very pleasant. The transport provided (medium size SUV) was also comfortable and the driver made sure that he drove us around safely. The arrival ferry terminal for the tour I chose is at Sekupang Ferry Terminal. It was a long weekend so there were more people queuing at the immigration which is not automated. However, I later learned of the chaos on the same day at Batam Centre Ferry Terminal (which is a much more popular arrival terminal for passengers), and was truly relieved that we did not end up there that day. All-in-all, it was a good day trip and an eye-opener for Batam first-timers like us.

I absolutely loved how they carefully selected the tour guide for me. As a solo female traveler, they assigned Natalie, and she was truly a gem! Such an amazing person—warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. ❤️❤️❤️ The tour felt personal and memorable, filled with heartfelt stories that made the experience even more special. It was like exploring Batam with a close friend or family member rather than a guide. 🫶🫶🫶 If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Had een geweldige ervaring vanaf het begin. We begonnen rond 2:45 uur 's ochtends! Had een goed gesprek met meneer Abdi die ons naar het Klook-basiskamp had gebracht en daar ontmoetten we meneer Ngurah die de 4x4-jeep bestuurde en ons naar Mount Batur bracht. Hij was professioneel en zeer communicatief. Hij was geduldig genoeg om overal tijdens de reis foto's van ons te maken. Het enige dat teleurstellend was, was dat we de zonsopgang niet konden zien vanwege regen en slecht weer. Afgezien daarvan heeft het hele team geweldig werk geleverd. Hulde aan iedereen.

We werden 's ochtends vroeg opgehaald van de veerboot in de haven van Sanur bij de SR Coffee Shop. Ari en haar team hebben uitstekend werk geleverd als touroperators, en ik ben ze erg dankbaar. De reis was zeer aangenaam.

Onze Mount Batur Jeep Sunrise Tour en Black Lava Tour was een geweldige ervaring, nog beter gemaakt dankzij WAYANG. Vanaf het begin was hij vriendelijk, grappig en erg sociaal, waardoor we ons comfortabel en goed verzorgd voelden. Hij is een zelfverzekerde en bekwame chauffeur die het ruige terrein soepel aanpakte, waardoor we ons de hele reis veilig voelden. Wayang deed er alles aan om ervoor te zorgen dat we van elk moment genoten. Hij informeerde regelmatig naar ons en haastte zich nooit met de tour. We waardeerden vooral hoeveel moeite hij deed om foto's voor ons te maken - hij kende de beste plekken en nam geduldig meerdere foto's totdat ze precies zo uitpakten als we wilden. Zijn begeleiding hielp ons om prachtige herinneringen vast te leggen van de zonsopgang en het zwarte lavalandschap. Wat echt opviel was zijn positieve houding en oprechte zorg voor zijn gasten. De zonsopgang op Mount Batur was onvergetelijk en het feit dat Wayang onze gids was, maakte de ervaring nog specialer. Sterk aanbevolen!
