Saigon Central Post Office tours

We hebben een geweldige ochtend gehad met het verkennen van Ho Chi Minhstad met onze gids, Penny. Ze was hartelijk, deskundig en maakte de tour zowel plezierig als informatief. We bezochten het Centrale Postkantoor van Saigon, het Herenigingspaleis en het Oorlogsrestenmuseum. Penny deelde fascinerende inzichten in de geschiedenis en cultuur van elke locatie, wat de ervaring nog betekenisvoller maakte. Helaas was de Notre Dame Kathedraal gesloten voor renovaties, maar Penny zorgde ervoor dat we toch het meeste uit ons bezoek aan het gebied haalden. De tour was van begin tot eind goed georganiseerd. Onze chauffeur was punctueel, vriendelijk en professioneel, en het privévoertuig was schoon, comfortabel en voorzien van airconditioning, waardoor het gemakkelijk was om te ontspannen tussen de stops door. Dit was een fantastische introductie tot Ho Chi Minhstad, en we raden deze Klook-tour ten zeerste aan. We participated in this motorcycle tour this afternoon with Katee and Flower. They patiently waited for us in the hotel lobby and enthusiastically helped us handle an emergency, which took about ten extra minutes. They were extremely patient. This type of travel allows you to experience local Vietnamese traffic and everyday life from the back of a bike. We visited the Ho Chi Minh City Post Office, Book Street, temples, and learned about the Vietnam War. The war section was truly shocking; regardless of whether the authorities were right or wrong, it is always the ordinary people who suffer. I hope the world will see fewer acts of plunder and aggression under various pretexts in the future. Afterward, we came to a very quaint coffee shop, where we had refreshing mango juice and snacks. Time flew by. Highly recommend this way of experiencing Vietnam! Thank you to our two guides. We were a bit pressed for time, but they were very patient and friendly, helping us out and chatting with us. A wonderful experience!

Ik was alleen tijdens de Japanse tour. De vrouwelijke gids was Tao. Ze kwam me ophalen in de hotellobby, en toen ik zei dat ik foto's wilde maken op beroemde plekken en ansichtkaarten wilde versturen vanuit het postkantoor, legde ze uit hoe ik ze moest kopen en versturen, en communiceerde ze met het personeel. Terwijl ik de ansichtkaarten schreef, hielp ze me met mijn Ao Dai en maakte ze foto's. Op de Ben Thanh-markt nam ze me mee naar een zone waar ik niet hoefde te onderhandelen over de prijs, en ik kreeg vier T-shirts voor een goede prijs! Ik hou van Vietnam T-shirts voor 99.000 VND! Goedkoop, zelfs zonder onderhandelen! Het enige jammer was dat er geen 333-biertje T-shirts waren! We liepen naar onze bestemming en namen slechts twee keer de auto. Bij terugkomst kleedde ik me om in het hotel en gaf ik de Ao Dai terug. Mijn Engels is bijna niet-bestaand, dus de Japanse tour was perfect! Ze vertelde ook over de geschiedenis, en de hele drie uur waren zeer bevredigend!

Wow, what a fantastic experience, to sit on the back of a scooter and be part of the traffic, and not just watch it from the sidewalk. It felt very safe to ride with Tera and her friend. It was also a great pleasure to hear them, as locals, explain more about the sights we passed on the trip. Tera's story about Thich Quang Duc in particular touched me a lot. Een van de beste tours om Vietnam echt te begrijpen en te waarderen, en hoe het is geworden wat het nu is. Het heeft lang geduurd voordat Vietnam is waar het nu is, en deze tour biedt waardevol inzicht in die reis. De oorlogsrestanten waren hartverscheurend, en ik kon niet alle foto's bekijken omdat ze ongelooflijk zwaar en hartverscheurend waren. Ondanks de emotionele ervaring hebben we een geweldige tijd gehad tijdens de tour. Zorg ervoor dat je verkoelende spray, water en een ventilator meeneemt om de hitte van Ho Chi Minh te overleven! Een speciale dank aan onze gids Cyta, die deze tour nog aangenamer maakte. Ze was vriendelijk, deskundig en deelde zoveel verhalen over het verleden van Vietnam, wat de ervaring veel betekenisvoller maakte. We waarderen dit type tourarrangement echt in vergelijking met traditionele reizen van reisbureaus. Het stelde ons in staat om op ons eigen tempo te verkennen terwijl we ons onderdompelden in de lokale cultuur en het dagelijks leven. Het voelde over het algemeen persoonlijker, authentieker en leuker.

An unforgettable night in Ho Chi Minh City with Rae! I highly recommend this Ao Dai motorbike tour! It was definitely the absolute highlight of my trip to Ho Chi Minh City. My driver and guide, Rae, was amazing. She was not only an incredibly safe and skillful driver in the chaotic traffic, but also so friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. She took great care of me throughout the entire tour and shared so many interesting stories about the city and local culture. Riding on the back of a motorbike in a traditional Ao Dai felt so special, and it’s the best way to experience the real vibe of Saigon. Thank you, Rae, for making this an unforgettable experience. This tour was for my parents, wife, kids and I and we had an absolute ball! All 6 of us were on separate scooters and all drivers were fantastic. Ellie and her team made the night wonderful and gave a good in depth knowledge into stops around Ho Chi Minh City. Food was fantastic, and for what we thought were going to be small tastings, they were fulls meals and drinks with all of us so full by the end. Highly recommend Ellie and this tour if you stop in Ho Chi Minh City.

Had such a great time! Puon was an awesome guide and made the whole experience so much fun. Since it was just me, I got to enjoy exploring different cafés, wandering around the city, and even trying archery! 🏹 For someone who is not sporty at all, I surprisingly had so much fun! 😂 Definitely a fun way to explore the city and make some great memories. ✨
