Daban Gen Forest Hot Spring Resort

Dit was onze eerste keer in het Osaka Root Hot Spring Hotel. We hebben eerst de driekringswandelroute gelopen, de nationale Bangan-heilige boom bekeken, en na een eenvoudige maaltijd gingen we naar de tweepersoons-hotspringkamer om te baden. Het baden in de Osaka Root-hotspring voelde heerlijk aan, mijn lichaam voelde glad en fantastisch. Als we de kans krijgen, komen we zeker terug om te baden en te wandelen! 👍

Manyueyuan is flat and easy to walk, but it gets very crowded on holidays. The latter part of the trail near the waterfall has stairs, which can be a bit strenuous. We recommend starting your hike early, visiting the waterfall area first, and then taking the self-guided trail down the mountain for an easier descent!

Our trip to Dongyanshan was a great experience. We bought e-tickets before heading out, and at the entrance, we just scanned the QR code for instant entry, which was convenient and saved time! As soon as we entered the park, we were surrounded by towering Japanese cedar forests. The air was incredibly fresh and full of phytoncides, making deep breaths feel wonderfully refreshing. Surprisingly, there were very few mosquitoes and other insects, making it a comfortable walk. However, we occasionally encountered bees patrolling nearby, but calmly avoiding them was sufficient. A key point to note is that the trails and wooden steps can become very slippery when it rains. We strongly recommend wearing non-slip shoes and bringing a hiking pole to ensure safety by walking slowly and carefully. Overall, it's highly recommended as a great place to get close to nature in northern Taiwan!
