Dingen om te doen in Xinbeitou Station

Een bezoek aan Beitou Water House voor een privébadhuissessie was een van de meest ontspannende hoogtepunten van onze reis naar Taipei. Oorspronkelijk wilden we onze tickets ter plaatse kopen, maar het personeel bij de receptie was ongelooflijk eerlijk en behulpzaam en stelde voor om via Klook te boeken, omdat dit mogelijk goedkoper zou zijn. We boekten het direct in de lobby op onze telefoons, en de hele ervaring van 90 minuten was gewoonweg de beste. Het warme witte zwavelbad deed wonderen voor onze vermoeide spieren en hielp ons volledig te herstellen na elke dag van onze reis meer dan 20.000 stappen te hebben gezet. Tussen het therapeutische mineraalwater, de stijlvolle ambiance en de uitzonderlijke klantenservice zullen we zeker terugkeren bij ons volgende bezoek aan Taipei.

Taking a hot spring bath for 3 hours is really wonderful; you can soak at a leisurely pace, and even rest a bit afterwards, which is truly great! After checking out, there's dessert to enjoy, and on top of that, they also serve century egg and lean pork congee, red bean soup, ice cream, and more! The only minor drawback is that the hot spring tub is not very large, so you can't fully stretch out your legs!

The facility was very good. The hot spring was also very pleasant. It wasn't like those strong sulfur springs where all your belongings smell like the hot spring when you get home; it was just right. The access from the station and other tourist spots is also good, so I recommend it if you're visiting Taipei. However, I imagine it's similar at most hot springs, but regulars seem to dominate the space. I was warned for not wearing a shower cap (which isn't customary in Japan), while they were eating food they brought into the bathing area. I want to respect local rules, so if shower caps are mandatory, I would appreciate it if that were clearly stated. If eating and drinking are also permitted, removing the 'no eating/drinking' signs would prevent me from feeling confused.

I made a last-minute reservation the day before, but it was easy to use, which was great. If you show your voucher, they'll guide you right away. If you're not using it immediately, it would be good to ask if you can do it at your preferred time first. I thought the front desk staff would tell me the available times, but they immediately assigned a time, which led to a slight communication breakdown. It's not hard to find from the station, and there's a Hot Spring Museum and Geothermal Valley right nearby, so you can also do some sightseeing. I highly recommend it!

All of the amenities are functioning right except the water station, the cold water is not available. A vendo at the snacking area could be also useful. Nonetheless, I had a great experience with Shan Yue and will definitely comeback for more.

The experience was quite good. 3 hours were enough for us to enjoy the hot spring bath and relax after that. It would be better in the cold season anw.

such a great experience. paid $77 for private suite . staff can speak English, Japanese, and mandarin. each floor has different layouts. we had marble layout on 5th floor. when it’s less busy they’ll give you the nicer rooms. if peak time of year or weekend you might get smaller room. we got popsicles after our stay which was nice. overall super nice. toilets are in each room w bidet

This was my first onsen experience and I absolutely loved it. The room was clean and well equipped with snacks and drinks. It was the perfect self care activity. Cannot wait to go back.

(30 minuten extra in het laagseizoen) Daarom is de privé-warmwaterbron 120 minuten beschikbaar. Als u niet van drukte houdt en graag in warmwaterbronnen baadt, is er meestal een speciale prijs voor het laagseizoen van april tot eind september. Zorg ervoor dat u van tevoren belt om te reserveren, het personeel is vriendelijk en geeft gedetailleerde uitleg. Als u met de auto komt, kunt u bij de ingang aan de bewaker vragen of er nog parkeerplaatsen zijn voor de warmwaterbronnen. Als dat niet het geval is, is er aan de overkant, naast het metrostation, een Q-Park parkeergarage bij het Qixing Park, waar u gemakkelijk met een creditcard kunt betalen. De kamer van vandaag heeft geen ramen naar buiten, maar heeft wel een relatief groot bad, dus de ruimte is zeer ruim voor twee personen om samen te baden. Als u een grote rustruimte belangrijk vindt, moet u een kamer kiezen met ramen naar buiten, maar dan is het bad kleiner.
