Dingen om te doen in Ierland

The success of tours like this are heavily dependent on the tour guide. Lisa was an exceptional tour guide. She pointed out different landmarks and attractions on our way to the Cliffs of Moher, Burren, and Galway. She answered questions we had about Ireland through storytelling, and on the bus she played music by various Irish artists as she taught us more about Irish history and culture. My trip was on the second Sunday of October. It was very chilly and windy at the Cliffs. There was rain here and there but it wasn’t heavy.

De tour van Finn McCools was geweldig, met Mark als gids en Declan als onze chauffeur die vandaag door enkele smalle landweggetjes navigeerde. Mark was informatief en vertelde ons onderweg naar Kilkenny over de stad Dublin. We kregen informatie over de geschiedenis van verschillende plaatsen, interessante personen werden genoemd en er werd ook over andere culturele aspecten verteld. Het hoogtepunt was een bezoek aan Kilkenny Castle en het schapendrijven, waar we border collies Meg en Sal ontmoetten die geweldig waren. Het verliep efficiënt en op tijd. Zeer aan te bevelen. Wij waren een gezin van vier met een Australisch-Hongkongse achtergrond en twee tieners, en we hebben er allemaal van genoten.

Geweldige reis! De Cliffs of Moher zijn spectaculair. De kustlijn van Burren is prachtig. En Galway is zo welvarend en charmant. Het belangrijkste aspect is een veilige reis.

Onze gids en chauffeur waren Noel en Goran. We waren uiterst tevreden over de reis. Uitstekende verhalen vertellen door Noel en een stipte rit door Goran. Beiden waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam. We zijn erin geslaagd om Dunluce Castle, de Giant's Causeway, de steilste klif, foto's te maken bij de kliffen van The Dark Hedges, het Titanic Belfast museum en het stadhuis van Belfast te bezichtigen. Fantastische tijdsplanning en we hebben van elke stap genoten. Hartelijk dank voor de goede zorgen en de mooie herinneringen.

De buschauffeur was stipt en erg vriendelijk. Het was een korte en comfortabele reis. Ik zou zeker weer met hen reizen. Hartelijk dank!

The guide's (name Porrick? couldn't catch it as people kept talking at back of bus despite him asking them not to) dry humour unfortunately flew past the heads of most but I appreciated it, the stories & history he provided were comprehensive. It is a big bus & many hours on the road but the guide tried his best to fill in the time even playing his own instrument. Driver Billy made the ride smooth. Most train tickets are sold out for bank holiday weekend so this trip saved the hassle and costs about the same. Sadly visited the cliffs too late as the section that I wanted to walk is closed after 2024.

Really enjoyed our day trip to Kilkenny, Wicklow and Glendalough. Oli was a friendly guide and shared quite a lot of interesting history and little stories along the way. Fred was our driver for the day, and the journey was comfortable and felt safe throughout. We liked that the tour had a good mix of different sights — we visited castle and cathedral at Kilkenny, went through the Wicklow mountains, and saw the ruins and lake at Glendalough. We also got to see sheepdogs working in action, which was pretty cool to see! It rained for most of the day, but thankfully visibility was still relatively good which didn’t affect much of the experience . Overall, it was a really nice way to see a bit more of Ireland and learn about its history and culture, especially for someone visiting Ireland for the first time.

Geweldige ervaring - ruime tijd om de toeristische plekken te bezoeken, de gids deelt goede achtergrondinformatie over de toeristische plekken en stelt duidelijke grenzen om ervoor te zorgen dat iedereen op tijd is. Zou het aanbevelen.

We got the experience with the lovely and knowledgeable James. Great guy you could tell he made his hobby his job. James had a can do attitude and loved to have a chat with everyone. With the activity we did we got to take 2 50ml bottles home, this is your own blend. The activity also taught you how certain smells and flavours can awaken certain undertones in the whisky. For example after smelling peach extract it started tasting more fruity. It was a great experience that I would definitely recommend!

Het was een zeer goede tour. Voor het verkennen van de grotten moete je extra betalen, maar ik denk zeker dat je mee moet doen. Voor de lunch wordt er ongeveer een uur uitgetrokken bij een restaurant of pub. Tijdens de tour zorgde de chauffeur en gids Shawn voor een hele leuke en duidelijke uitleg over allerlei zaken. Hij kon ook heel goed rijden, waardoor we met een gerust hart konden meegaan. Ik raad deze tour ten zeerste aan.

This trip to the Giant's Causeway just wouldn't be the same without Jonathan - his commentary and history were so easy to connect with, and we'll recommend him to anyone planning a visit!
