Dingen om te doen in Launceston

Ik en mijn vrienden kozen ervoor om op de dag van de tour een rondje om het meer te lopen. Het pad was grotendeels vlak en onderweg waren er prachtige uitzichten op het meer en de omringende bergen. Helaas was het weer bewolkt toen we liepen, en om de verzameltijd te halen, moesten we het tweede deel van de wandeling wat haastiger afleggen, waardoor we minder goed van het landschap konden genieten. Na de wandeling was er een hut in de buurt van Ronny Creek om te rusten en te lunchen. Als je tijd hebt, kun je ook een korte wandeling van ongeveer tien minuten maken om te proberen een wombat te spotten.

Geniet echt van de dagtour naar Cradle Mountain vanuit Launceston, georganiseerd door McDermott's Coaches. Onze gids David liet ons niet alleen de beste locaties voor fotoshoots zien, maar gaf ook een verrijkende geschiedenis over Tasmanië en hoe Cradle Mountain een Nationaal Park werd dat iedereen kan bewonderen vanwege zijn landschap. We houden echt van het verhaal van Gustave en Kate en hun inspanningen op het gebied van natuurbehoud, en we begrijpen waarom terwijl we rond de berg wandelen, overweldigd door zijn schoonheid en schilderachtige uitzicht.

I spent eight days in Tasmania and participated in several day tours. I genuinely feel that the Bay of Fires day tour was the most enjoyable and highly recommended. David is truly an excellent local guide; the itinerary was well-planned, his commentary was professional, and he was always friendly and attentive to us. Additionally, there were six of us on the tour that day, and even though we were all from different places and meeting for the first time, we were fortunate that everyone was very friendly and talkative. The atmosphere of the entire tour was fantastic, leaving us with wonderful memories.🩷

Zeer zeer goede ervaring! Veel geleerd van de gids over de Tasmaanse duivels en quolls! Ze is geweldig en legde alles heel duidelijk uit. Hulde aan haar en het team voor hun inspanningen op het gebied van natuurbehoud en de liefdevolle zorg voor deze kleintjes! Ik heb het gevoel dat de dieren goed worden verzorgd :) Even ter info: u heeft recht op 24 uur toegang voor en na uw ticket, dus bezoek ze gerust opnieuw na uw vastgestelde tijd. Ik raad ze ten zeerste aan als u in de buurt bent. Steun ze, want uw tickets betalen voor hun inspanningen op het gebied van natuurbehoud!

The tour guide was very friendly and personable, like a living history book, introducing the history of Cradle Mountain. The private car and lunch included in the tour were very convenient. We also visited Mural Town, but due to its distance, the sightseeing time there was not very long. We had about 1.5 hours for independent hiking before the guide led us on the rest of the tour; more time would have been better. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I actually booked the tour because of the aurora offer in the description. Unfortunately, until the end of the tour, the metric for aurora sighting was poor and we ended up not going for the sighting at all. Despite that unlucky part, this tour gives amazing experience for travelers who plan to visit Tasmania for the first time. We don’t speak Chinese at all, but tour guides always give English explanation in addition to pre-recorded English audio guide of each destination. If you are hunting for aurora sighting, make sure you’ve checked the possibility of seeing the aurora Australis before booking. Otherwise, just enjoy the beauty of Tasmania as covered by this tour.

Overall, everything was very well organized, from the itinerary to the daily logistics, which made the trip smooth and stress-free. A special thank you to our guides, Martin and Mark. They were both friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the journey. They went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, shared interesting information about the places we visited, and created a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The itinerary covered Tasmania’s beautiful highlights, and we enjoyed the stunning scenery and unique experiences. It was a great way to explore the island without having to worry about the planning.
