Vervoer in Yokohama

Dit heeft me enorm geholpen om naar alle plaatsen te gaan waar ik ben geweest in de Kansai-regio. Aangezien ik nog niet bekend ben met hoe het treinsysteem in Japan werkt, raak ik snel verdwaald en met deze pas hoef ik me nooit zorgen te maken over extra kosten voor vervoer als ik op het verkeerde station beland, aangezien deze onbeperkt is.

The bus driver on the Bayside Blue line gives a really entertaining tour. He speaks into the microphone while driving, saying things like, "Your kindness makes everyone smile." At first, I wondered if he was involved in some kind of religious group. When we approached a curve, he'd say, "We're turning left, left, left... oh wait, my mistake, we're turning right!" Or, "I thought we were going to stop at this red light, but it immediately turned green!" The passengers started chuckling, and it created a really pleasant and fun atmosphere.

Deze pas is erg handig, maar het enige nadeel is dat je door een bemande poort moet. Soms is er op andere stations geen personeel aanwezig, of is het personeel al naar huis. Dan moet je de intercom gebruiken of er gewoon doorheen gaan. Anders is dit een zeer handige pas om naar de berg Takao, Enoshima of Kawagoe te gaan. Je toont in principe gewoon het scherm van de Tokyo PASS op je telefoon. Je kunt vanaf Terminal 1, 2 of 3 van Narita Airport vertrekken zonder extra kosten, en ook bij terugkomst hoef je niets te betalen. De pas is slechts 5 dagen geldig en volledig gratis.

Mr. Li was our driver, and there were 6 adults in total (the children are quite large and already in high school). The driver was very kind, giving him a hundred points 💯. He would confirm the time the day before! He also drove slowly, allowing me to take pictures of the Shonan Monorail in Fujisawa 💕. Because the elders were almost 80 years old, they didn't have the energy to go to Enoshima station, so thankfully we chartered a car. We quickly got in the car and returned to the hotel, and the overtime was calculated reasonably. After arriving at Shibuya on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, I went to pick up my item. If you follow the route to exits A0-A3, there's a restroom on your right. The pick-up counter is located across from it. Japanese citizens can also pick up items here. There was no need to show a passport or ID. I think being able to purchase and hold a Tokyu one-day pass in advance is a significant advantage.

Dit is erg handig voor een dagtocht naar Yokohama met lunch tijdens een reis naar Tokio. Op de B1-verdieping van het Shibuya Station Tourist Information Center kunt u uw voucher inwisselen voor fysieke tickets (treinkaartje, maaltijdvoucher). Scan de QR-code op de ticketenvelop voor gedetailleerde informatie over beschikbare restaurants en menu's. Vanaf Shibuya Station bereikt u Yokohama Chinatown in slechts 50 minuten met de Toyoko Line Express. Ik heb het strandpark verkend, gegeten bij Hong Kong Daebanjeom in Chinatown, en de bezienswaardigheden langs de Minatomirai-lijn bekeken. Een absolute aanrader! Het zou ook leuk zijn om de ochtend in het centrum van Tokio door te brengen, dan vroeg te dineren en een avondtour te doen.
