Loch Ness-turer

Min guide og sjåfør for dagen var Keith (09. mai 26). Jeg valgte Loch Ness og høylandsturen. Turen var veldig informativ og lærerik, og jeg fikk en dypere forståelse for Skottlands og høylandets historie. Områdene vi besøkte og naturen var også vakker. Kjøreturen føltes trygg, og jeg fikk også nyte naturen underveis.

Enjoyed a comfortable small-group tour with Timberbush guide Ben. He kept everything on time and all the spots fitted in nicely and comfortably with no hurries. Great locations for a general experience of the Highlands. Besides the main spots in Glenfinnan and Loch Ness, particularly enjoyed the small village of Mallaig and was able to catch the locks in action in Fort Augustus. Ben had a nice playlist of songs of contemporary Scottizh folk music which made the long drives enjoyable with the views and had some nice bits of trivia here and there along the way.

Vi tok en-dagsturen i begynnelsen av april og nøt perfekt vær med nesten ingen regn. Reiselederen vår (Karen) var varm, oppmerksom og gjorde en ekstra innsats ved å ta oss med til mange naturskjønne fotosteder, definitivt flere enn reiseplanen antydet. Karen delte også engasjerende bakgrunnshistorier om attraksjonene og høylandet, noe som ga oss en dypere forståelse og fikk oss til å forelske oss enda mer i stedet. Alt i alt en utmerket opplevelse – stor verdi, vakker natur og en enestående guide. Takk!

En hyggelig, lang, men ikke slitsom eller kjedelig tur. Alle steder ble håndtert som planlagt, og vi fikk til og med en ekstra mulighet til å besøke hårete kuer på slutten, etter at vi ikke rakk å ta bilder i begynnelsen av turen på grunn av shopping. Prisen var konkurransedyktig og turgruppen var profesjonell. En god opplevelse.

Det er et stoppested fra kanalen til slottet, og den komfortable turbåten med engasjerende guidet fortelling, mens man beundrer Loch Ness' storslåtte skjønnhet, er en veldig avslappende sightseeingaktivitet. Det ville vært enda bedre om denne aktiviteten inkluderte tid til å besøke slottet.

Our tourguide Callum is so impressive! He was a very safe driver, a podcaster, a DJ, and a tourguide all in 1 as he drove us through the highlands. While the weather was foggy and that meant that some of the scenery were not the clearest - that's also the beauty of the Scottish Highlands, is it not?;)

We had an excellent Loch Ness tour with Jack today. He was friendly, professional, and an outstanding guide. His extensive knowledge of Scottish history, culture, and local legends made the journey both fascinating and enjoyable. The tour was informative and memorable. Thank you Jack for a fantastic experience.

This cruise tour is a must if you're in Scotland! Although, you may not see Nessie, you will see some beautiful views of Loch Ness and the castle. The Clansman Hotel has a great bar and restaurant, so I would recommend starting your tour there. I took the Ember bus which is efficient, however, you must book your specific stop and pickup. They will not stop, unless you specifically book The Clansman Hotel. My return pickup was missed as I booked the wrong pickup point, costing me 45 minutes. Ask someone if you don't know how to book this bus or find a different mode of transportation. Getting there is not difficult. Being a tourist, I found out the hard way, however, they had some great Scotch in the bar while I waited. Good trade off. Enjoy it!

Sonia var en veldig god guide! Morsom og smart. Det var veldig vakkert. Vi hadde fint vær, så det var også en god ting, haha. Jeg anbefaler virkelig turen!
