Fremfor alt var det en behagelig duft av treverk inne i bygningen, og de flotte mønstrene og maleriene i hvert rom gjorde et sterkt inntrykk. Our experience with VASARA Kimono Rental in Nagoya was exceptional. While this location had fewer yukata choices than I expected, the staff more than made up for it with their kindness, enthusiasm, and genuine care. I hoped to wear a red yukata to match my wife’s, but none were available. The staff went above and beyond, searching through unopened boxes until they found a maroon yukata with dragon designs. They paired it with a blue obi featuring a water pattern. They also dressed my wife and daughter beautifully, and transformed my son into a young samurai. Seeing our whole family dressed together was a highlight of our trip. Walking through Nagoya and visiting Nagoya Castle in yukata felt immersive and special. We received many friendly compliments and interactions along the way. The VASARA team didn’t just rent us clothing, they created a wonderful family memory we will cherish for years. Jin and our bus driver were quite knowledgeable, adaptable and kind. Ensure you’re prepared for the journey as it does involve a lot of walking as per the description. We thoroughly enjoyed all the places we visited. A definite must-do if you have a free full day in Nagoya. Thank you!

If you are worried about not knowing how to get to the meeting point, we recommend visiting it a day in advance. The driver will also send a message the evening before to confirm the meeting time and location. This tour had a small group size of only 10 people. Although it seemed we signed up for a Chinese-speaking tour, there were also foreign tourists in the group. The tour guide gave the impression of being a full-time driver and part-time guide. Since he needed to focus on driving the entire time, he couldn't provide any commentary about the attractions while on the bus, which was a bit unfortunate; he usually could only say a few brief words upon arriving at each destination. However, I would suggest that the driver at least proactively inform passengers of the upcoming travel time, otherwise, every time we got back on the bus, we had no idea when we would reach the destination. Reviews of the attractions are as follows: • Inuyama Castle: The scenery is gorgeous. Both the ancient castle architecture itself and the distant views from inside the castle are well worth seeing. However, please note that you need to climb four floors to reach the top, and each step is extremely steep (about twice as high as a regular staircase). If you are traveling with elderly family members, this will be physically exhausting and potentially hazardous. • Ena Gorge Bridge: If you visit in the summer, the scenery is very ordinary and this stop can be completely skipped. • Magome-juku and Tsumago-juku: These places preserve a strong traditional architectural style and are dreamily beautiful, making it feel like you've traveled back in time. If you enjoy hiking, we highly recommend trying the ancient trail hike between the two post towns; you just need to stay in touch with the driver in advance and arrange to meet at the endpoint.
