I cannot reccomend chef pano enough. this experience was truly a cultural exchange. chef pano was very attentive and engaging. His studio was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. The stroll through the market was so fun and interesting! Chef Pano even bought some chicken feet for us to try because we mentioned it. This was such a beautiful afternoon getting to know the chef and sharing a little about us too. Thank you Chef for a wonderful introduction to Korean cuisine!
The Cooking Class in Mangwon Market with Chef Pano exceeded my expectations. It turned into a private masterclass since I was the only participant, making it even more special. Chef Pano is very dedicated to teaching traditional Korean cooking, knife skills, and vegetable cutting. I also learned some things about Korean food culture. An added bonus was visiting Mangwon Market before the class. I highly recommend joining this cooking class with Chef Pano!
Pano’s class is the highlight of my trip. It isn’t only about cooking, about Korean history, culture, dining etiquette, hospitality and more. He orientated us around the local market & pointed out stalls like where to get special sesame oil. Upon arrival at his studio, we were treated to tea & snacks before we began. Much thought & meticulous care is put into the session — fr introducing Korean food through its rich heritage, to checking the way we hold our knives, it was such a memorable experience for us. Pano’s recipe is special & we plan to replicate it when we host a party. The portions are very generous — he even prepared containers for takeaway. At night, we ate what we couldn’t finish & it was just as yummy! So glad we booked his class at the start of our trip — we went to the historical places he mentioned. We have been to cooking classes back home & in our travels & Pano’s session is a class above them all — we highly recommend it! experience: awesome 😍🥰
Jeg er Carlos fra Taiwan. Denne gangen hadde jeg en fantastisk opplevelse med kokk Pano. Vi opplevde og lærte å lage tradisjonell koreansk mat, sammen med deilig makgeolli (koreansk risvin)! Vi delte mye om forskjellige kulturer mens vi lærte matlagingsferdigheter sammen. En ting jeg virkelig beundrer er at han har en visjon om å dele koreansk matkultur med verden. Det handlet om moro, deling, mat og kjærlighet! Fortsett å gjøre det du elsker og det du gjør!
We had an amazing experience at the cooking class with Chef Pano. He was incredibly patient and explained everything clearly, making it easy to follow along even for beginners. What really stood out was how he shared not just cooking techniques, but also cultural insights into Korean cuisine, which made the whole experience feel much more meaningful. The walk through Mangwon Market was also a highlight—super interesting and a great way to learn about local ingredients and food culture. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Seoul! this was a really great experience! the chef was really patient and kind and gave us a mini tour of mangwon market before we started cooking. he even stopped to buy us walnut bread because we said we’d never tried it before!! the cooking station was really clean and pretty and the entire process was very well thought out and organized. the chef even made mini recipe sheets for us to take home and took pictures of us while we cooked.
I’ve taken several cooking classes before, but learning from a Michelin-trained chef was a different level. As others noted, he’s friendly, the space is great, and the class is well-paced for different skill levels. What stood out was the focus on jeon, rooted in traditional Korean cuisine. It went beyond simple home-style cooking, with more depth, thought, and cultural context, which he clearly explained. I also valued his knowledge of ingredients—seasonality, sourcing, and quality differences—as well as his broader culinary insights and recommendations. His training elevated the techniques taught. He refined my knife and frying skills with care, and even basic steps were held to a high standard. Plating was also emphasized, making the experience feel complete and polished. Overall, highly recommended, especially for those interested in cooking and cuisine. Even beginners will appreciate his skill and engaging demonstrations.
Such a great experience! Chef Pano was super friendly and explained everything really well. He also shared a lot about Korean customs and dishes while we were cooking. The ingredients were really fresh and the food turned out delicious. Definitely recommend! Thanks!
Chef Pano was the kindest instructor. He shared with us that his dream is to share Korea cooking with the world. He is passionate and a great teacher. The space you meet in is quaint and comfortable. There was so much food! We had enough for a second meal later. I highly reccomend taking this class!
We had an amazing time with chef Pano in his cooking class. He instructed us very well on all the steps we had to do and gave us good tips! Other than our instructor he also was our photographer of the day. Safe to say we had a great time with a great chef and instructor :)
