The Good: The rooftop pool is absolutely worth it — stunning views over Ipanema make it one of Rio’s best hotel experiences. The staff were also consistently friendly, attentive, and a genuine pleasure to deal with throughout the stay. The Not-So-Good: The rooms are quite small for the price — not what you’d expect from a luxury property. The breakfast buffet was also underwhelming, with a limited selection that doesn’t match the hotel’s reputation. Would I recommend it? Yes, with caveats. If you’re coming for the atmosphere, the pool, and the location, Fasano delivers. Just don’t expect a spacious room or an impressive breakfast spread. Tips for future guests: Request a higher room category for more space, and consider grabbing breakfast at a local café in Ipanema.

"Courtyard view" is a view to an old ugly building next door. Definetly not worth the price. Pool and staff are great!

The Fasano was an excellent location situated in the heart of Ipanema Beach. This trendy boutique tropical vibe was a perfect for our trip to Rio. The staff service was 5 stars - personable and anticipated our every need. The roof top and pool was stunning with a beautiful 270 degree views of the beach and sunsets! The Gero restaurant was also a delicious dinner if you want to eat on-site!

Fabulous stay ! After original confusion of room category, which the team handles exceptionally well (thank you !) we had the most wonderful stay. Spent most of our time poolside, great service and wonderful vibes pre carnival. Reception and concierge team always present and welcoming and warm. Breakfast was excellent in quality and service (maybe better to use the restaurant downstairs instead on the one on the first floor though as a little dark). Classic ‘old school’ white glove service in a contemporary hotel - great ! Can’t wait to return.

The the same calibre as other premium hotels in Rio. The room was OK but very dark. I was told my room had a courtyard view but it really just looked over a messy driveway. Disappointing.
