Hotel a Matsumoto

Loved our stay here! It's very clean, and has a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very kind and helpful. They not only let us store our luggage before check in, they also delivered our luggage to our room. I also really appreciated the free noodles and ice cream!

I booked the executive double room which is just a bit more expensive than the normal double room but, in return, it worths. First, the size of the room is large (27m2) and it provides you to access the executive lounge from 3pm to around 9pm. The first session (3-5pm) provides you with some snacks and free drinks (non-alcoholic). The second session provides you a cup of free local beer and some snacks too. The executive room is quiet, clean and large. The breakfast provides a good variety of choices. The hotel is 10-minutes walk from the train station. The parking fee is 1100yen per night and you are free to drive in and out during your stay, provided that you take the parking ticket to the front desk every time you drive in.

Let's talk about transportation first. It's only a 5-minute walk from Matsumoto Station, and it's located in a quiet alley. If you're taking a bus to Kamikochi, it's only a 3-minute walk away – highly recommended! This time, I booked a room with a washing machine, and the room size was pretty good. The AC was also strong, so I could dry my washed clothes quickly by hanging them in front of it. Guests get a free drink from 5 PM to 7 PM, and there's also a free all-you-can-eat Ochazuke (tea-soaked rice) available from 9:30 PM to 11 PM for a late-night snack. The hot spring experience was great, and there are also free massage chairs to use. Female guests can also get a free skincare kit. The only downside is that the bathroom is a bit small (no separate shower and toilet), but the bathtub is big and wide, which is very comfortable. Overall, it's awesome! 😎

The young male staff member provided terrible service. He didn't try to help resolve any issues, just left me to struggle. Checking in was a difficult ordeal. Everything else was good, but the staff member was awful.

Perfect, excellent breakfast, and they also offer Romanian food in the evening.

La camera era molto confortevole e l'onsen favoloso. Anche la colazione era ottima, con una straordinaria varietà di scelte.

stayed here for 2 nights for our kamikochi tour. perfect place to stay since it us a few steps away from matsumoto station and in front of alpico bus station. the room was nice and the hotel comes with a good selection of breakfast buffet. free coffee at the lobby is also a plus.
