Good
We read the reviews so expected the worst but all in all this place was OK. The location is amazing, the staff were helpful, and the price for a city hotel was great. We could walk to the theatre, british museum, and all the sites from here. We had a 4 person room with ensuite at the top of the hotel. It was reasonably clean and the bathroom was great. The only real issue we had was it was so hot at the top of the hotel (during a UK heatwave) with just one tiny fan to try and cool things down and a tiny window that could only open slightly. We all slept with no covers.

Stayed with partner

This became a roof over our head and nothing more, problems ranged from bare live wires protruding from the wall above the bed, pillows filled with shredded foam pieces, dirty broken bed, dirty carpets, torn curtains, no ventilation and no Staff present when trying to complain and check out. Awful. Just Awful.

Literally nothing positive to say. The staff member was quite helpful but the facilities were atrocious. Won't be staying here again.

This place is fine if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night, but I wouldn't personally recommend it. The AC unit in my room wasn't working, and there was a sticker indicating it had not passed a safety inspection. The bathrooms were not clean, there was no toilet paper available, and overall the room did not feel clean. There were also ants crawling throughout the room. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. However, due to the cleanliness and maintenance issues, I wouldn't stay here again.

I know there’s a saying that you get what you pay for, but this stay was beyond disappointing. The room was extremely dirty and felt unhygienic from the moment I walked in. There were ants present, visible mould, and a strong unpleasant smell coming from the carpet as soon as you entered the room. I was only supposed to stay for one night, but I could barely last a few hours before I had to check out and book another hotel. I understand this was a budget stay, but basic cleanliness should never be compromised. No guest should have to stay in those conditions. It was a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience overall.

Good

Solo stay

The reception staff were friendly and welcoming on arrival and clearly explained where I could find my room. I stayed in Room 17, which was located next to reception. The room was a decent size, although it looked quite tired and was not really what I was expecting based on the photos I had seen when booking. The bed and bedding were clean, and I slept well. The hotel was also very quiet during my stay, which helped me get a good night's sleep. One thing that surprised me was the lack of tea and coffee-making facilities. This is the first hotel I have stayed in that did not provide a kettle in the room. The room was also quite hot. In the morning, I noticed that there was no shampoo, shower gel, or drinking glass provided in the bathroom. Overall, I would describe this as a budget hotel. It was perfectly adequate for a one-night stay, with friendly staff and a comfortable bed, but some of the facilities and room presentation could be improved.

On a last minute deal, the hotel is good value for the central location, it is 'no frills' but that is to be expected for the price point. Check in and out simple and no issues; bed clean and comfy, bathroom and decor needs refreshing but for the price point its 'fair'

Good

For business

Not value for money as I am concerned. Paid £228 for two nights - the room had no kettle or tea making facilities, there was no water. The bathroom was tiny and had no shower curtain. Will not be coming back
