The Swan is a 300-year-old inn mentioned in Wordsworth's poem 'The Waggoner'. It offers stylish bedrooms, which have all the modern facilities expected, including modem connections.Many of the rooms enjoy views of the surrounding fells. The comfortable lounges, which include one of Wordsworth's chairs, are an ideal place to relax, having enjoyed the day exploring beautiful Grasmere and the surrounding areas of the Lake District. The Waggoners Restaurant is renowned for its fine cuisine; less formal meals are taken in the bar or Cygnet lounge.
