Below average
A sad, and tired looking motel that has old bathrooms with a shower over bath, covered in limescale. Terribly uncomfortable bed. The restaurant, the only one open in Jaibaru, is highly priced, but expects you to sit on outdoor metal chairs. Stay in Cooinda which has better facilities.

Great location. Best possible service, considering remoteness. Impact (of remoteness) mostly felt on the quality of meals (à la carte or bar - did not try buffet). I guess one does not go to Kakadu to eat out; so, in these conditions it is often best to keep it simple and make it good. :-)

After a day out in the heat the hotels pool was great for an afternoon refresh. We enjoyed the quality food in the restaurant of an evening and the air conditioner together with a separate dehumidifer made time in the room comfortable.

Room is a bit dated but clean, bathrooms are tiny and bed only a double fire alarm went of in the middle of the night had to evacuate and took over 1 hr to fix apparently this is quite the norm at this hotel. Needs some love. Restaurant though had amazing food and was lovely as is reception area
