Stamford is always a great hotel for when we fly international with an early departure. staff are friendly, friendly Iona are clean and family friendly. the only downside of the whole hotel is the entrance is a pest to get into.

10min walking distance to airport, but for sightseeing in the city, a hotel downtown is better. train ride is not long, if can’t find hotel downtown, this is worth considering. the surrounding roads are somewhat confusing. even with google gps, we missed the entrance or carpark when driving via the freeway, resulting in re-route time of about 20min. one bathing towel was missing, but staff was helpful in moving luggage to the room, and providing slippers upon request. normally they operate free shuttle bus to airport, but it didn’t operate on 1/1. we asked receptionist to help make overseas call, their line simply can’t connect overseas number. room is well finished and soundproof.
