Perfect location. Short walk from Central Station and right next to a street full of eateries. The building is a lovely renovation of the old brewery.

What an amazing hotel. Architecturally really interesting and some neat background history too. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, which makes such an important impression. Lots of fun restaurants and good shopping surrounded the hotel. Everything at the property was super-clean and the room was new, modern and very cool. The rooftop pool looked great and was heated, but the weather wasn't cooperative. I didn't partake, but it was clear that the rooftop bar was fun. I liked the eco-policy there: each day you opted to decline having your room made up, you got a food credit at the restaurant. Nice. I'd gladly stay again.

Below average I don’t know. I NEVER stayed because of a booking error they were UNWILLING to let me move booking without paying for another night. Speaking the the staff was like taking to an emotionless ai bot. The custom service was transactional at best. Dealing with Louis was like trying to invite human emotion from a broken vending machine.
I booked late one evening and hotels.com glitched and reset search parameters so instead on Tuesday night it reset to that very night! No one would likely have booked the room for same night stay after 8pm. Yet they insisted because they couldn’t have rented the room they would rather loose me as a customer forever (I have stayed here before) then just admit that I didn’t even check in and won’t adjust booking. No call to find out if I was checking in even though they advertise 24 concierge. That would have cleared up the problem. Immediately and they would have won me over as a long term customer.
Not even about the money. I travel for work. Spend 30k a year on hotels. It’s all about customer service. Sometimes taking a $400 hit to save the customer is worth it. Also I know people are leveraging ai but hiring humanoid robots to work your concierge would show more understanding for the situation. It’s not a value proposition.
And hotels.com… you’re gonna loose out even more. I’ll just use bookings.com. I use them more anyway. Poor effort.

Good There was absolutely no staff
Visibility to help with luggage we had to lug our own luggage to our rooms which is unheard of / previous owners had bell staff to take your luggage from the car - foyer areas are very run down - whole hotel needs a revamp as it’s looking very stayed - it is such a shame as we have been here many times under the old owners and loved it every time - this time we have been left wanting - even the rooftop bar was empty which tells you something - this used to ALwAyS be pumping …. Do better to stay competitive
