Honestly we were expecting more for a shangri-la hotel! The staff at our arrivai was really nice and apologized for not being able to upgrade our rooms. I booked two bedrooms btw. They said they will offer us late check-in to compensate! The breakfast was included but honestly the service was terrible! The first morning we ordered fried eggs that never arrived plus the coffee arrived when we were about to leave. The second day I came back to the hotel to change around 5:00 pm and surprise!! they were just making my bedroom at this time! The cleaning lady told me I had to wait 20 minutes for her to finish! I think it is a little late to do the cleaning! The day we were about to check out, they told us that the late check-out was not possible because it was not indicated in the system! We had to run to leave the bedrooms on time or they told us they will have to charge 200 pounds! Honestly the hotel is beautiful but the service is terrible ! .

As you can expect City View room was amazing, however not the Shangri-La quality I’m used to regarding check in and breakfast choice or quality. Checkin should have provided info about pool access being via your room key, especially if you have a pool slot before you get your room key! Thank you to proactively from a member of the Gong bar we were able to access via the guest entrance. Beware when booking with Hotels.com breakfast is extra - and really isn’t worth the full or discounted price. I’ve had better quality and choice from a Premier Inn.

Fantastic trip and fantastic hotel. Room was extremely clean and comfortable. The headboard on our bed was ripped at one side and that’s why I brought my score down a bit along with ordering teas and coffees at breakfast time as I was always having to try and get someone’s attention. Breakfast itself was excellent with huge choice although something on tables to tell you what extras you can order would be good. Staff that I encountered were so nice and friendly and helpful. Views from hotel are just amazing!! We had a lovely time and will most definitely visit in the future.

We stayed for one night as a vacation splurge and were greeted warmly by Jessica who met all our needs. We stayed at a Premier View room with a view of Tower Bridge from our bathroom on southern Londob thanks to it being a corner room. Our Expedia Gold gave us either a complimentary breakfast at Ting or room service. We chose the latter and had excellent service to our room. The sauna and pool need to be reserved and are definitely worth it. We made memories for a lifetime and will never forget this experience.
